Hmm. I had a worry someone would tell me this. I'm about as "DIY"y as a brick. I am useless and live in fear that I would balls it up - regardless of how simple it is...

They quoted me something like 350 for the parts (M Performance Grill replacement and sides in gloss black) and then 150 for fitting.

Am I being mugged off?

I would love to fit someones grills for £150!

I just emailed them back and explained I can find the genuine BMW parts online for around £200 (inc VAT/Shipping) and asking if they believe me to be incredibly naive or have I done something to warrant a large premium on top of those prices :P

To be fair to your dealer, they will have quoted you the price for the genuine M4 grilles, as they wouldnt know you could interchange the 4 series coupe parts, i think they around £230 off the top of my head, then say £80 or so for side grilles, then their fitting.

Ahhhh. This is what I thought was different -- but what you're saying is the 4 Series Coupe grills fit when interchanged with the slats already on the M4?

In fairness then they're just ripping me off with their fitting charge :P

These are the part NOs for the 4 series coupe black grilles, that you can swap the outer rims onto your original grilles
