Dinan s1 signature vs zcp?

Any ideas on which is worth getting? I think I'm about to pull the trigger on a new m3 and trying to figure out how these two packages compare. Both have engine, suspension, and exhaust upgrades. The dinan's is definitely pricier (8.5k plus 15.5 hrs installation) but you get a little more for what you pay. I already know there are quite a few on this forum who are not dinan fans because you can get more for your money elsewhere, but I want to maintain warranty coverage and have two BMW dealers within a half hour of my house that are dinan dealers as well. Also, anyone think getting competition package and the dinan on top of that would be worthwhile? My guess is no, but I'm curious . Thanks!

Dinan doesn't have software for ZCP yet, they are in the process of developing it.

My plan is to add Dinan to my ZCP, once Dinan releases it.

Maybe you should order the ZCP package, drive it for a while until you want more and then upgrade to whatever the ZCP dinan package is down the road.

I would assume the Dinan will offer more power, but not by much. But the ZCP isn't about power, it's the suspension upgrades. I would get it just for that, even though the wheels are garbage. Then do the Dinan later if it's not enough for you.

The wheels ARE NOT garbage! Wheel design is a very subjective subject. Some people quite like them - others hate them. They are forged and likely very strong. Probably 4 pounds or so heavier than a really high end forged wheel like HRE or BBS. I can not stand posts that suggest something is not good because they do not like the design. Say that but do not say they are garbage. That is not accurate. Xxr wheels are garbage but the 666 wheels certainly are not.

I'm having the same debate in the back of my mind. I just sold a company so I have a few extra bucks. Should I keep my 2015 and add Dinan or just trade it in and order ZCP exactly the way I would want it? I'm leaning towards ordering a 2017 ZCP but he biggest issue for me is the ugly a$$ wheels. I hope they have some extra options for 2017 or at least a darker color.

Somewhat off topic, but does the ZCP-specific suspension tuning/upgrades affect the ability to lower the car?

They are garbage, anyone with any sense is going to realize I'm stating my opinion, do I honestly need to state that? And it is accurate to me. They offer a uprated performance model and then put 20's on it. That makes no sense.

Well, the GTS comes with 20inch 666M wheels in the rear and 19 inch in the front, so it can't be that bad.

No. Can still lower as you see fit. There are kits for edc and non edc cars.

They also put 21" wheels on a gtr rs....just because they are larger doesn't mean they are worse. They style of the wheel is defiently subjective, but it's still a forged wheel and I can't say garbage is an appropriate descpition regardless of they are ugly or not

Hard to say if they will have new colors. I think the only new stuff will be the idrive update. From the reviews I have read, it seems like the dinan package is probably very similar to the zcp, though probably a little more performance oriented. A little more power, a little better handling and a little better sounding especially if you add in mid pipes.

Honestly I don't think you can go wrong either way. You can certainly dump the 666 wheels and get what you want if you go new. Otherwise upgrading your current car will be cheaper overall and you can really make some sweet performance and appearance enhancements.

My suggestion would be to order ZCP and then get dinan eventually.
