Just a couple of pics from our local Cars and Coffee. Mclaren Volcano Orange is much more orange than SO.

Funny you should mention that - there was a Valencia 1M there as well. Much more similar though the Mac had bigger metallic flake.

All I know is volcano red is the greatest color on this planet.

The oranges here I'm not too crazy about.

I think they both have their strengths. I like how the sun really brings out the depth of both those colors

From someone that has tried to individual a volcano mclaren paint job (rejected) there is NO comparison in quality and depth. The mclaren paints are incredible in real life and leave the bmw stuff where they belong: in the "reasonably priced/looks pedestrian beside it" category. Although I know u know this Golf but you are like the nicest guy on this forum and would never say anything bad

Loved the VO on the Mac, but the funny thing was the Mac owner liked SO better. The flake in the VO was much bigger, though the flop in the SO was more distinct.

The McClaren looks much more 'orange' to my eyes (almost amber?) The Sakhir Orange still seems to be more of a red (but still an orange...). It's hard to explain! haha
