Maine Vacation July 2018 - Local knowledge request by Scottish Member
Hi Guys, I and my family live in Scotland and we are planning a vacation in Maine next year and I was hoping if someone who lives in the State could make contact and we have lots of questions and it would be much appreciated if we could tap in to that local knowledge. This vacation is an exciting prospect and we want to try and get most things right.
We are flying in to Boston for a few nights at the start and then renting a car and heading to Portland, probably for about 4/5 nights and then heading towards Camden, again probably for about 5 nights. We are wondering about a stay in Bar Harbor and then back down to the Camden area and eventually back to Boston and home. In all we are planning a 3 week vacation. We would be grateful for any thoughts/opinions/suggestions. Stephen |

Maine is beautiful. I don't live there but vacation there quite a bit (I live in Boston). Please feel free to ask me some questions and more than happy to help you out. You can PM me if you want.

Maine is beautiful and Portland has a great waterfront. We stay at the Press Hotel when we are in Portland. http://www.thepresshotel.com/
Most of the towns on the water are great. Ogunquit, Kennebunk, Saco all have their quiet charm that is great for a couple days at a time. |

I have lived in Southern Maine for the last 20 years so I can help you with any questions you might have! July is probably the best month to visit Maine.
I live just outside Portland and can definitely point you in the right direction depending on what you are looking to do. Send me a PM if you want more info. |
