Tone it down before it forces BMW to make the next M3 look like shit in comparison to the M4

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

Did anyone notice that with a half of a tank of gas left the F80 had about 239 clicks to empty or about ~150 miles

I'm not sure this car will get better fuel consumption if driven properly unless that was sport+ the whole time... I've never gotten better than 14 mpg with S65 and 16 mpg with N54T/N55 MPPK

I think adding the name M4 to the party was a big risk and subsequently they've worked hard to keep both of these cars looking good, especially the one carrying the legendary M3 moniker.

The comments suggest they've pulled it out the bag

i get a different impressions from every set of photos i see.
on these, both cars looks to be sitting really high. the sedan looks almost too butch for its length and the coupe just too high and plain. hope the reveal changes my mind yet again

Agreed.

I've been trying to figure out why that is, and realized that the cut for the rear door on the M3 has a much more aggressive look to it than that of the M4. The M4 just seems to have a lot of open space over the rear quarter panel and the rear fender flare just isn't as pronounced as the M3. The doors were cut in similar ways on the e9x's, but imo the more aggressive cut and the larger rear fender flare have given the M3 the edge on the profile view.

While I always liked the E90, I always preferred the E92, but now, in these first picts - I prefer the M3 vs. the M4. The M3 here just looks meaner and has a more purposeful design it seems. In any case, liking what I'm seeing!

Edit: hoping a tune will increase rev limiter to 8k as well! 7500 is a good start for a turbo.

I'd much prefer that to the wheels we've seen on the "concept" and the spy pictures lately. I just don't see any way around needing to buy a set of wheels for this car.

Reving to 8k in this car would be a dream come true.

Revving to 8k in this car can definitely happen.

Never over-deliver. The man said revving to 8k would be a dream come true for him; easily doable. I'm not standing between a man and his dream.

What is the point if the power plateau is between 5700 and 7300 RPM

interesting

FYI I am DIGGING the m3, not so much the m4. the side profile of the m3 is money for me. curious what the 18 inch wheel options look like, not liking those 19s.
Yup same here!
