there is about 4mm clearance when wheel is turned to right and 4mm when turned to right so I am good with the fender liners and it's been noted the f80 m3 has a clearance issue compared the the f82. I also got more Clearance to MP HAS suspension with the new wheel vs the stock setup but i dont see it an issue and should work ok on the stock rim. With 265/35 P4s It would rub ever so slightly on stock rim with a 12mm spacer, no problem with a 10mm upfront. I did take a measurement of the Tyre unmounted and it measured at 265mm wide, installed and inflated measure 264mm wide and it's identical to the 265/35 Ps4 mounted on the stock 9" rim, also tire racks claims a wider tread width of the 245/35 N0 Sport cup2 to the 265 PS4. The 20inch rim with the SC2 mounted is 10mm taller overall than the 265/35 19" granted I have like 7000km on the fronts so some wear has taken place. Excuse the dirty car but attached some pics, Got caught in the biggest storm and didn't wash the car:-( Wheel alignment to be done on Monday and than will test on road. going to hit the track early may, so far worked out all ok and chuffed. BTW my rims specs are 9.5J 25 offset and rears are 11J 40 offset tire specs I used are 295/30 20" Sport cup 2 N0 and 245/35 20" Sport cup 2 N0 Hope this info helps all who want to keep the 20" and get Sport cup 2's Last edited by whoop_ass; 04-19-2018 at 05:01 AM.. |

You don't want PSC2 in the Winter lol...supposedly they are more prone to hydroplaning but still manageable in rain. As always, try to avoid any standing water on the road. I have them on my car but can't speak from experience I don't have many miles.

I have used them through two Melbourne winters and they're fine, it's more the cold than the water they have a problem with. Just be cautious in really wet or sub 5 deg C weather.

Drove in Finnish Lapland late last year - minus 25 on studded tyres. That was something else!

Ok so I managed to get alignment done and all good.
I have zero rubbing or touching of any sort, was worried about the rear. once these 295 wear out I will def jump onto a 305 rear sport cup 2. In terms of drivability I am super impressed, hardly more road noise than a PSS. YES they a bit harder and you feel more feedback from the road but I have been driving on the P4s which actually and more comfortable, The feedback from the front is Mega, love it, for the first time I feel the tyre's have more grip than the brakes! I dont feel any DSC intervention (running EURO MDM), once Warmed up they grip well, I can still spin the rears in second with a BM3 e30 map, but they scrabble and recover quick. I think once they get hotter things will get even better. they on another level to the P4s once warmed up and i am sure will get better as they probably not scrubbed in much. Hitting the track in 2 weeks, lets see how they last. I am a fan for sure. I def did not feel any understeer if anything the steering feels more direct. anybody on the fence whether to do this... DO IT!!!! you can DO IT!! |

Thanks for that. At the track last weekend and the combo worked very well. A little steady state understeer.

but so far i am impressed, I also took the liberty of weighing the wheels before i installed them flow form wheels 20" 9.5 25 offset with the N0 245 weighed in at 20.8kg/45.76 lbs compared to the 437 with a 265/36 p4s 22.4kg/49.28lbs 5 odd pounds of unsprung weight is huge. regrettably added 1.3kg/2.86 pounds to rear. again 11" rim and a 295 cup2 tyre. but ye as MPoweRo stated, I dont have an issue even daily driving these. once rears wear out, I will look at doing a 305 cup2 It should clear Last edited by whoop_ass; 04-23-2018 at 07:47 AM.. |

i'm planning on fitting the same size at the front on 9.5J ET22 wheels. but depending on the front to rear balance (although the 245s on cup 2 N0 are wider than the 265s Star, i wonder if the car picks up a little bit more understeer at the limit with 245s), i may go with 285s instead of 295s at the back. would look forward to knowing how u find about the front to rear balance is after u hitting the track! thx again

you welcome bud, that's what the boards are for to share info. I think with a 22mm offset you might I say might touch the fender liner on either side, my wheels are 25mm and dude i dont think i got more than 2mm clearance on either side of the fender wells and on a 22 will push the wheel arc further out, but 22 offset will sit nice and flush for sure. F80 guys cant fit the same size wheel as f82 as we saw on the other threads. The 245 N0 differently has a wider tread width than an N1 I am hoping to get the car corner balanced if i have time before the track to get the MPerformance HAS dialed in and balanced. lets see how it goes but i really don't see the rears pushing the front to cause understeer, they have plenty grip, as i mentioned for the first time I could honestly brake very hard without ABS intervention on the P4s it would intervene rather easily. Damit, the f80 should of come with cup2 standard. |

I did but next time I might run the fronts a couple psi lower to see if that dials out the smidge of understeer.

That's with GC camber plates and around -2.5 camber in the front. Tyres heating up uniformly front to back and surface pyrometer quite even from inside to outside on all tyres after each run (for what that's worth).
