There are a lot of good DIY mods for the M4. Some include sunglasses holder, phone holder, etc...

VSC-2 to control the exhaust valves is a good, inexpensive (relatively speaking) mod that doesn't require an install cost (self-install completely possible, even for someone with little to no wrenching experience - if you can Ikea, you can install this).

Cool The Nut Behind the Wheel

So Far, the best mod I have made to the car is to myself. Although my wife did buy me some CF parts. I have been auto-crossing the car and it has really improved how I drive, well IMHO anyway. The events are inexpensive and not very hard on the car.

While a bit more expensive, I am going to Greer next month for an ///M School. It was cheaper going with the local BMW CCA, so I consider it yet another inexpensive modification to the car, the very unpolished nut behind the wheel.

Silver trim for headlight switch

Strange bmw use the same trim detail pattern as hvac and radio surround but leave it black

best ones from my perspective that are cheap are these.

1.) black M3 logo
2.) black front grill surround (just order regular 3 series and switch out grill to save 200%)
3.) red start/stop button
4.) remove airbag logos from sun visor
5.) M stripped seatbelts. On the expensive side for "inexpensive"

I was only able to unplug the left exhaust flap - couldn't get the right one - feels like its glued or something!!

Is there any negative impact with only 1 exhaust flap unplugged?? or should I go ahead and plug back in the one I was able to unplug as well..

any advice would be appreciated - thanks!

You'll probably have more carbon build up on the "unplugged" side of the exhaust tips. Nothing critical.

what does that mean - is the carbon going to damage anything? is it better to just plug the other one too?

thanks..

If you can't unplug, you can pull the fuses.

Won't damage. Might stain a bit. Nothing a little elbow grease can't remove.

Could you tell us more about this mod? Where did you get the trim piece? Is it snap-in or is disassembly of the switch required?

I could not find the headlight switch bezel on getbmwparts.com or IND. I’d be interested in one of these.

Hey,

"Inexpensive" -

Remove your stock Rear Diffusor panel piece and paint with a Flat Black paint.
I would use "Plasti Dip" as it won't damage the original paint underneath too
much, let dry and replace.

The rear diffusor can barely be seen and It will look almost as good as a C.F.
piece at 1/100th the cost!

Cheers!

Window tint on ALL WINDOWS . Best mod by far here in the Southern California heat and it's not too expensive.

Here is a cheap mod for the bumper. wrap the area around the reflectors and the factory diffuser gloss black. Just need to probably paint the exhaust underneath. I know the left side is off getting it redone. Not a bad job for 20 Euro.
