Reset Fuel Injector Adaptions

I've got the fuel injectors replaced and I'm trying to reset the adaptions using an Ancel BM700. It seems straightforward, the requirements are just engine off and accessories on. However I'm getting an "Incorrect conditions or wrong order of service requests message #22".

Anyone seen this before? The conditions are met as near as I can tell. The BM700 is communicating. The only thing I can guess is the cylinder misfire codes are still there but I'm not sure why they'd be the issue. TIA

From my N54 days I remember this being a more involved process with INPA. I’m not sure if the same carries over to the S55 with ISTA or if a handheld is fully capable of performing this reset. Someone with more knowledge keep me honest please.

the handheld ended up failing me so i returned it. a friend came over and i used his ISTA laptop to get the job done. i saw a kies video where they used the handheld to code injectors so maybe they're ok but i had no luck.

I ended up doing mine with ISTA+ when I installed my EU5’s. Pretty straightforward process and ISTA does a good job walking you through it.

I used the 1 click installer ISTA+ download that I paid $20 for. Easier than figuring out the free way.
