Saving iDrive Profile Changes?
I am searched everywhere in the manual and youtube videos but I cannot seem to figure this out...
I want to change my suspension from sport to comfort and "save" these changes to my profile. How do I manage to do this? Everytime I turn the car off / on it reverts back to sport. Thanks! |

Doesnt your manual has a section on importing/exporting profiles ??? The way you do it is that you configure your M1/M2 buttons and those are saved in your profile. And you have multiple profiles linked to your keys...
https://www.bmwusa.com/owners-manuals.html PS: The car will always start in Efficient/Sport/Sport, you can't change that, its been discussed a million time ... |

Ah ok. So basically what I want to do is not possible then. I'd like the profile to be saved as efficient/comfort/sport

You cannot change the default start up settings, regardless of what profile that you use. The car will always default to Efficient, Sport, Sport when it is started. This has been discussed here in multiple threads for the last two years.
As aboulfad indicated, you can save the settings you want to your M1 and M2 buttons, but this will not change the default start up settings. Because you have 3 profiles plus a Guest profile, you could have different settings for your M1 and M2 buttons for each profile plus the Guest profile. The first thing I do after I start my car at home is to press the M1 button which changes the settings to Efficient, Comfort, Comfort, S2, DSC on, and Default view on the HUD. If I want a little more noise and a little sportier feeling, I press M2 which changes the settings to Sport, Sport, Comfort, S2, MDM on, and M View on the HUD. For the track, I select my Track profile. M1 is Sport+, Sport+, Comfort, S3, DSC off, and M View on the HUD. M2 is identical except that it enables MDM if the track is damp, wet, or slippery.

Thanks all! This was driving me INSANE! I just did the M1 / M2 idea. Ive copied my profiles and uploaded to the other 2 profiles too so I now have my routine driving, track day, and one other random one.
