Is Anyone else's blind spot sensors not working?

I noticed since the first day I got my car that the blind spot sensors don't work. I have put 2800 miles on my car since and I have tested them out a few ways. Randomly the will work however they won't pick up 18 wheelers. But they will pick up cars...however most of the time they don't work at all.
I tried all different speeds. 30mph 60mph 90mph, it doesn't matter. So I brought my car in to have them looked at and the dealer said there were no faults in the system. Then drove it and of course it worked for them. Well I picked the car up and sure enough they weren't working...
Anyone else have a similar issue?

Put your headlights back to automatic mode.

I noticed my driver assistance addons stopped working when i had my lights "off" and not "auto"

They are in automatic mode.

Mine function but sporadically. Also, I think the light could be much brighter so as to actually alert you of a car's presence. They seem to blend in with natural light too much.

Just wanted to bring this thread back to life as I picked up a MY18 M4 last week and am having the same issue that the OP described.

OP, did you ever get the issue resolved?

The light isn't bright enough imo. BMW needs to code it to be brighter. Otherwise mine work fine.

Idk if you got my message or not. Yes it was resolved. They are very limited. They don't work under a lot of conditions. They don't work under a certain speed, over like 80mph, when you pass someone it doesn't work. So it only works when someone comes into your blind spot.

In short, they are pretty terrible by design...

I don't have on my car anyway and I never trusted blind spot sensors. I ride motorcycles on a regular basis and always learned to do a quick turn around when I change lanes. Always a good idea ...

Mine works fine, except just got a software update for a steering rack replacement and now the passenger side one seems to be "delayed". Will keep an eye on it
