Is there any official info out there that we can show our SA's about this?
I've contacted my dealership and even told them about how flashing the Kombi will do this but they're saying they haven't gotten any memo from BMWNA about this so they won't do it.

The procedure will only flash (i.e., update) your KOMBI (instrument cluster) ECU and will only reset what you have coded in that ECU (which probably is nothing).
