Vland FOLED Lights and Water Issues

Hello,

I have the foled f80 light in currently. Also have jl 1000 and 10w6 subwoofer.

I read a thread earlier albeit a f83 that his taillights caused flooding in the trunk and almost fried his amp? Anyone know of this or possible remedy. Might go back to stock can’t risk my equipment

The rain drip rails that go over the two outter tail light inner trunk bolts are the culprit when used with Vlands from what I’ve seen. Also went back to stock lights, albeit euro shadowlines, before I dropped in a full Integral audio setup as I didn’t want to worry about it on a DD. Haven’t had any issues and my car sees all weather conditions. Can’t speak of the reliability though on those lights. Took them off once I saw people flying up at the rear because they can’t see the turn signals very well in direct sunlight.

You could always cover the amp or remove it temporarily and just use a garden hose and keep a steady stream on the trunk over the lights and see if any leaks through
