This is correct. Santorini Blue II is $5,200 retail, $4,735 invoice. Monte Carlo blue would cost the same.

Nice! When did you put in your request and get approved?

My production date was week 34 but i just asked to change the interior colour from Black to Cohiba. This may push my car to Ocotber. Is that normal?

The order was sent June 13th and the color was approved on June 16th. I finalized the build on June 19th. The ED date was finalized on July 12th which the first date I could schedule my ED per BMW AG which also worked for my schedule.

This was all based on my original product date of week 33( August 14). Since then the production was bumped up and it looks like the car will be completed sooner than anticipated but my ED still works for my schedule so I'm keeping it.

The week numbers they quote, such as week 33, is when production is scheduled to *end*, not start, so Week 33 cars should be underway imminently if not already, as yours is. Yours is right on schedule. It takes roughly 2 weeks to produce a car (we are currently toward the end of Week 30).

I haven't checked my own status yet. I will tomorrow. Thanks for the heads-up.

Any change to an Individual order can cause delays. This is why they frown on any changes once colors have been submitted.

Called today and found out that my production week slipped from Week 33 to 34. Not the end of the world. Should start getting built toward the end of next week assuming no further delays.

Got you. Was it already 112? That is odd that it slipped a week, but all is well!

I called BMW ED today and they still havent heard back yet for my color. It has been 3 plus weeks since BMW AG received my requested color. I am just hoping it does not get pushed back to week 40 or later, if that is the case then we will just have to switch to a regular color to make out ED date (due to some work and personal things we cant push it back to December like we originally were going to).

Yes... It's still 112.

Did you contact individual@bmw.de about your color? I would do that immediately.

I did last Friday. All I got back was a cryptic email saying the following:

Quote:
Hello Michael,

Your order is scheduled for production week 35 with the paint Atlantis blue.

For all other concerns regarding European delivery, please contact the colleagues from European Delivery.

Regards
Fritz
However I have been talking to the two ladies at BMW ED here in the states daily and they say that have gotten no updates and car is still at 102.

At long last... status 150 in production as of today. ETA for completion is indeed Week 34 (August 24th, to be precise). We'll see how things progress from here.

Had the opportunity to speak with the individual in charge of VIP Individual Ordering today for BMW NA. She let me know that they have begun the process to change over our special order to the YMB color. However, she did let me know that for the last week or so they have been having an issue with the system in that it will not update or change status for certain people (not all) with individual orders. She stated that they currently have IT Support working on the issue (they believe it is a software glitch) and should have it resolved by tomorrow. She stated that my order was not the only one with issues. If there is anyone else out there who has a problem with their individual order, or hearing back about approval, it could be because of this.

I got an email from VIP Ordering specialist and informed me of the following " Your vehicle was scheduled for PW31 prior to adding the special order paint. By adding the paint, we require a specific amount of lead time and your vehicle is now confirmed in PW36."

So I am now Week 36 which still puts me in the mid oct timeframe I was working with anyway. Just wanted to offer some info.

Called today to get an update on the production of my car. My car went into production on July 19th. Genius told me nothing has been updated in the system since then and thought it was "weird" since they would see that it's been moved to the body shop, paint shop, etc. Is this normal?

I cannot speak to whether it is normal, but from my conversations with the VIP Ordering Specialist at BMW NA they are having an issue with the system updating for people with individual orders. Let us hope your issue is chalked up to that. Or maybe there is a delay because you car gets hand painted?

I would guess this is due to the previously reported software glitch that status isn't updating for some individual orders. They said it would be fixed early next week. Check back Thursday or Friday next week. My guess is your car is much further along than the system is showing. If you have a VIN # you can follow the stickied thread to check for shipping vessels to see if your car is actually already completed.

I called today also. Vehicle began production 7/25/17 and scheduled to complete 8/11/17. Still at "production started" status (no body shop, paint, etc). Genius did not mention anything else. This is a $5200 Individual paint option but no individual interior.

So hopefully it's like others are saying that its just an internal software glitch that isnt updating the status of Individual orders. This wait is not good for my health and I'm not even halfway there yet
