San Marino Blue F80 ED May 2016
I'm finally fully booked, and after originally wanting a Frozen Silver F80 I decided on a SMB for a number of reasons. Below is the spec and route we've chosen. I cant wait to update the thread with the photos!
Big thanks to members here because 80% of my choices came from everything I've read on here. Opinions are welcome. Spec: 6MT MPE Adaptive M Silver Wheels Black Leather Carbon Trim Premium Executive (comes with LED in Canada) Speed Limit Info HK (standard in Canada) Itinerary: Munich 4 nights Neuschwanstein Castle 1 night Lake of Konstanz 2 nights Bellagio 4 nights Strasbourg 4 nights Drop car off in Frankfurt Amsterdam 3 nights Paris 4 nights Munich 1 night Hotel Choices: Munich Air bnb Nueschwanstein Castle http://www.hotel-mueller.de/ Lake of Konstanz https://www.steigenberger.com/en/hot...ger-inselhotel Lake Como http://www.villaserbelloni.com/ Strasbourg http://www.mgallery.com/gb/hotel-757...on/index.shtml Amsterdam http://www.swissotel.com/hotels/amsterdam/ Paris Air bnb Driving Route: Possible slight detour to hit Furka if its open. Ill be driving past May 31st so id say 50/50 its open. I thought today would never come I'm ashamed at how small this beer is. It was the only place available with an outside table. HB was to hot and busy. I will rectify the beer size issue today. Wife doesn't like beer, but "this German stuff is good!" It really is good. The rule of not drinking first day? Killed that with 7 pints of this. Augustiner Keller May 23rd. Next stop Welt for 1pm pick up. After a year wait the final 15 minutes die perfekte blau First glimpse (wont forget that feeling) Konstanz/Meerbsurg Bellagio Lake Como boat tour is highly recommended I'm ashamed to say the best thing (so far) I've had in Italy is a burger. That said it's an OX burger and I'm having it with killer Italian wine, but still. Quick stop in Lucern on our way to Strasbourg More Swiss flags in this city then ///M badges on an M car. Strasbourg is really amazing. I've been to almost every country in Europe and countless towns, but none of them compare to Strasborug as far as beauty goes. It's completely idyllic, and truly makes you feel like you went back in time. My crapy photo skills don't do it justice. The hotel Nice a clean for final drop off, and without a scratch. Off to Amsterdam and Paris to finish off the trip. Last edited by Sassicaia; 06-24-2016 at 11:24 AM.. |

Not to late, but there are reasons the comp package isnt for me. 1.) Im coming from a car with 225 HP. Maybe im the exception to the rule around here, but I dont think ill need 19 more then the stock gives 2.) Wheels look terrible 3.) No Lumbar support?! Seriously i dont want to get into the ergonomics of not having lumbar support on a seat, but that is stupid beyond belief. Plus seats arnt to my licking aesthetically. 4.) I get the value of the comp package adding a stiffness to the ride, but my car will see the track exactly 0% of the time. I do plenty of driving in areas with essentially no speed limit, but not needing a stiffer ride. 5.) Did I mention the wheels? |

Is it worth potentially screwing up my new car? Am I skilled enough to drive it? Will I always regret it if I don't do it? I'm undecided at this point. It would mean one less day in Strasbourg |

I think i most likely will go because it's something that's worth being in a bucket list. Don't know when the next opportunity would come. But with a new car i will plan on taking it as easy as possible. Maybe i will be lucky and be there on a day when all the other cars are minivans, buses, and trucks so everyone will be going slow lol.

I say go for it - as mentioned, you can drive as carefully as you want, and it's definitely something "car" guys should do when they're in that neck of the woods. |

I just about wrecked it as far as photos! I dropped my camera behind my seat and it disappeared. The amount of cables and mechanisms under a first class seat is quite spectacular. Had two flight attendants on their hands and knees with s flashlight eventually dig it out.
I helped by watching and drinking in the background. True story...happened 5 minutes ago. |
