This thing is getting BETTER with every mile...

My 2017 M3 ZCP is definitely improving with age. I have accumulated 6850 miles on the beast (how quickly they pile up) and I am definitely noticing the engine revving more freely and pulling more strongly if that is possible. Further, the manual transmission (that has shifted beautifully from day one) is becoming consistently smoother as it loosens up a bit.

I know as a driver I have learned the rev match habits of the car and have subconsciously adapted my own driving habits to work seamlessly with it. Honestly the rev match technology is a huge step forward, and the overall performance of the manual transmission in the F80 is enormously better than the one that was installed in my 2008 E90.

The brakes seem to have seated in and the suspension seems to offer the perfect balance between firmness and compliance. Every time I am out for a ride I find myself more and more impressed with how beautifully this car behaves.

If there is one downside, if it is even fair to call it that, it is that this M car attracts a LOT of attention. My Alpine white / full black leather car is always clean and waxed, and I am constantly getting comments and looks from folks of all ages. It is not a bad thing... but this F80 does not fly under the radar the way my Jerez black E90 M car did.

I love my car.

Totally agree. My M3 currently has 3400 miles and recently have felt a huge difference. The car feels much stronger and louder. I usually drive in full sport plus valves open, but even at efficent mode car pulls and sounds awesome. I Definitely feel a difference from a few weeks ago. When the turbo kicks in and all the valves are open hold on...

Well this is exciting. My 2018 only has 1,800 miles on it and it pulls harder than the tires and DSC will allow.

Turn the traction control off (press and HOLD for three seconds). Now you will experience the power that lies within.... be careful

I drove a convertible automatic version of the newest vette and while I was impressed with the acceleration, there was a noticeable difference in design and quality of the overall car. The magnetic dampers were impressive though.

I tried this and it definitely puts down more power (according to my butt dyno and the hp/tq gauges). This car either needs a 4th mode, or the current MDM mode should be the standard DSC, with a more-slip allowing "track" mode for the middle setting.

It's almost as if BMW is rewarding customers for driving these cars with DSC completely off, even on public roads.

They are fast, but lacking in refinement and quality. Fast isn't everything Corvettes are showy look at me cars. That is just not me

Look into coding your car with European MDM. The MDM mode the Euro cars are loaded with allows a lot more slip before interfering. This can be easily coded by any experienced coder.

Having both a 16' competition C7 and 17' competition M3 I truly prefer the M3...BUT nothing beats the top down hitting up the beach, wineries etc.. both are great cars

There is a lot of attention, I have AY, but I don't think it's as much of a problem with the 'constabulary' as others have indicated. I think police officers are very aware of performance cars regardless of colour and so, unless a police helicopter is searching for you, (hopefully not) I don't think it'd make that much difference in terms of flying 'below the radar' loving mine too!..... IMO Perhaps a police 'person' could chime in! Cheers
