That being said, who is reporting the €169,000 price for the GT4? I believe I've seen hot-hatch based factory race car offerings approach that number, so that seams to be a screaming deal if true. On the other hand, those may have been tube chassis WRC or WTC cars with completely bespoken engine/drivetrain and custom all-CFRP wide bodies, so the comparison I am drawing is probably somewhat skewed. |

This the first time BMW has gone racing, officially, with the DCT isn't it?
I like the brake fans (assuming that's not a translation fail) as standard equipment. Real-deal endurance racing stuff there INteresting they ditched the torque vectoring diff, maybe GT4 ruleset isn't cool with those I haven't kept track with the latest but I know Chevy is making a mullet GT4 now that comes standard with torque vectoring, and they didtched it too

The DCT thing is interesting though. I think you're right, this is a first.

I agree with you.. with the prices being very similar in Euro.. if this were to convert down to a similar US price.. well Frankly.. this is a HECKUVA lot more interesting to me for track use than an M4 GTS... even if it's not street legal and it has to stay in garage at a track... Dayum... that thing is Sick.. Last edited by M3 Adjuster; 05-26-2017 at 02:27 AM.. |

The best part whit Porsche GT4 clubsport racecar was that you could accually drop It of at the average dealer to have service/maintanance done. At least that I was told while I was showing interest for the car. I wounder how It is with the BMW GT4?
Still to maintain a racecar is quite expencive If you go to accually race It. |

RWD in TCR isn't really a thing. Factory support for the BTCC team is probably to help off set the lack of promotion in touring car classes. Quote:

IIRC, the GTS sold for €143k VAT included. Here, we are talking €169k VAT excluded for the GT4. It seems the GT4 will be a fair bit more expensive than the GTS.

The brakes and suspension are fantastic.
Looks like the car finished well at the N24, and in one piece. Looked pretty cool with those enduro lights in the front bumper as well!

BMW is now taking orders for the new BMW M4 GT4
BMW is now taking orders for the new BMW M4 GT4. The latest offering from BMW Motorsport is a full-on race car based on the BMW M4, but with technology and development transferred from BMW's current factory race car, the BMW M6 GT3. It has undergone more than 12,400 miles of testing, many hours in the wind tunnel, extensive fine tuning runs, and successful tests under race conditions.
For ?169,000 (about $189,000) customers get a comprehensive starter package. We assume that's the Europe price and VAT is extra. BMW did not release the price for U.S. customers. https://www.bmwcca.org/news/bmw-now-...new-bmw-m4-gt4 |
