Can anybody who has fitted the MPE, give an indication on the cost of the MPE. Im about to receive my YMB m3 in the next few weeks, and the dealer has quoted me around 12k for the exhaust. Seems quite excessive for a cat back system.

8-9k dealer installed is the going rrp pending tip finish (ti or carbon)

Latest quote I have from the dealer is $8232 inc. GST (7484 w/o GST).

That is carbon tips, cash, not installed and not financed (no LCT).

Took the car in for its run in service a week ago, asked for a quote for the MPE.

BMW quoted me $10,700 fitted with carbon tips, seems a bit high?!

Back to question of iDrive 5 or 6.

Another March build LCI2.0 was delivered today and it also has 5. My dealer will check my spec tomorrow to see if 5 or 6 is listed.

He was positive when I spoke with him this evening that the bulletin that came out when I ordered mine said March build LCI 2.0 come with 6.

In two minds. Domino's point about split screen (which is awesome), but I love the 6 interface from the 5 series that I've played with.

It also means a fucking LCI 2.5 version of this vehicle - wtf are they doing?!

iDrive 6 on this 2018 US M4.

Something isn't right here on these Australian delivered cars.

Could it potentially be that M3 production has stopped in the US for the time being.

And as a result of this, only the M4 is getting iDrive 6 as it's available in the US.

I was told US m3 are not being produced until july ,so touchscreen seem about right.i was told only m4 getting id 6 for now cheers

It pisses you off i waited extra long to get black wheels and what i thought was latest version,then you fiind this out,but in saying that i dont think you will ever get the latest as they update cars so regularly these days.

BMW appears to me much worse than Mercedes with regards to staggered incremental release of features.

My AMG had a facelift two years later but there were no incremental feature creeps in between.

Ok so the situation is as I suspected.

As the LCI 2.0 M3 won't go into production until June/July in the USA, no M3's to AU (not sure about europe), will come with iDrive 6.

The M4 will get iDrive 6 however.

Now to start a campaign for a free software upgrade to LCI 2.0 M3 owners!

I think it will be more than software probably need new screen as it is touch screen or do you mean the software for the 6 skin,3 tiles etc
