So the general consensus is .... that nobody agrees on anything. It's either mint after ten years of use or it wore out a week after they got the car. And the bolsters suck. And of course we got at least one of the usual comments about the size of somebody's ass. OP - Sorry, you wasted your time here. The seats in your M3 are somewhere between perfect and defective. Treat them with caution and condition them often. Oh, btw..please do ask the "group" for some suggestions for leather treatment. That should be hilarious.

I'm 6'2" 210, 2015 'vert seats, 20K on the odometer, seat has never been cleaned or detailed (which is obvious).
Looks fine to me, or at least no different than I'd expect from car leather. |

Zaino has also given me good results in the past. Both guys are chemists, which is pretty cool.

I think the only subject that has had more discussion is possibly tire pressure....but my 2016 Full SO interior looks as good as the day I took delivery with 9k miles now. I'm no little guy either and I've done virtually nothing to the leather, but the car does have Suntek tint on all windows, including windshield which blocks nearly all the UV. When not being driven, it is garage stored.
And btw, since no one else has pointed it out:

I made sure to use lexol leather cleaner and conditioner on all leather surfaces once every 6 months. Leather was perfect after 1.3 years. I also had high quality carbon tint, maybe that helped.

I have Full Merino Leather in my F83. I find it to be very high quality particularly compared to the Dakota leather in my 335i E93.

My black leather looks like there's a bit of tension at each seam, unlike my wife's X5 leather. I agree I'm a little disappointed by the quality.
