Now this is a serious looking track car rear wing, not like the GTS'...

Personally, I'd buy this GT4 over GTS, would be more fun on track.
Nobody's gonna use GTS everyday, so for track use, GT4 makes more sense for the same price. |

BMW need to stop touting track heritages with this hopeless F30 based commuter.
Go have some ball, dare lose money like Merc in making something more focused from ground up.

That 431 could be more than plenty depending on the weight of the car. I didn't see a weight posted, but that car is stripped down!

This is a GT4 spec car, so how could it possibly replace the M6 GT3?

Every Bimmerpost front page article about a new BMW Motorsport product needs a huge disclaimer:
WHAT FOLLOWS IS ABOUT A RACE CAR, NOT A CAR YOU WILL BUY AT A DEALER. FOR RACING ONLY.

Excited to see how the M4 GT4 does at N24... Will it finish?
2018 should be exciting. CTSC has been phenomenal this year, but honestly more because of ST than GS. Watching the Caymans and GT350s duke it out has been great, but they need more variety in GS. I wish I followed PWC closely enough to make a relevant comment on GTS. I have to express some disappointment, however. It has taken a long time for BMW to offer a GT4 product. They seem a little behind the curve. I mean, where's their TCR product? I guess I shouldn't be too harsh. With M returning to Le Mans, I'm sure they have their hands full.

11" wheels all around, Ohlins suspension and double-cooled front brakes.
I want that for my street car dammit.

I'd be surprised if you can get one of these for under $200k USD. Couple that with the fact that it could not be driven on the street at all, and probably wouldn't even be suitable to do so if you wanted to, and there is no reason to bring the GTS into the conversation (except perhaps to mention that this car borrows its hood, as mentioned in the press release). |
