Best Exhaust

Hi Guys,

Just wanting some input as to which exhaust i should put on my new f80 m3?

I seem to like the sound of the AWE non resonated exhaust from what i have from videos online etc.

What is the best bang for buck exhaust?

Awe non res if your sticking with stock dps. Awe res w/ aftermarket dps. I've heard active in person. It's good but awe non res sounds better. Again, not trying to start a war just my opinion. Lol

Depends on how loud you want it to be.
AWE is a very popular option. I also heard the GTHaus in person at Bimmerfest and it is amazing.
Remus axle and catback options sound really good as well.
Do your research, watch videos and get the exhaust you like the most.
One thing i learned when dealing with customers, never go with an exhaust just because other people recommended it. pick the one that YOU think sounds the best and fits your budget.

AWE and Meisterschaft have had the best feedback so far!

Another great option is RPI.

I'll shoot you a PM w/pricing and options

I live in Melbourne, AUS.

We have some of the toughest laws as far as noise restrictions/modifications go in the world sadly! :thumb down But i am not going to let that stop me!

I just want it to sound WILD! The other problem is availability in Australia!
So far i have found that AKRAPOVIC and M PERFORMANCE are pretty much the only 2 systems stocked in OZ....

How do guys go about the CHECK engine light in the STATES if you put downpipes on without flashing the computer? Does anyone over there make downpipes with high flow 200 cpi cats at all ?

Evolution Racewerks is working on a catted solution.

In regards to the CEL, most people either use the JB4 or they use the AWRON valve control with CEL Delete

You should check out the AWE Non-Resonated with downpipes. It's as wild as it gets

In terms of check engine light you can use the JB4 or the BMS can flap module.

As for the sounds restriction, you can get the AWE resonated or the Remus exhaust options. I would not get the GTHaus because it is super loud and might get you in trouble.

Jb4 is the most popular tune for your car. It adds ~50 whp and ~wtq on a completely stock car.

The BMS can flap module, is used to deleted codes and control the exhaust valves.

Doe anyone know if the valves/flapes in an AWE exhaust are the same size as the stock exhaust valves/flapes? What size is the stock exhaust? 2 3/4? or 2/5?

It uses the factory valve controllers. You swap them during install

How is the rivalry in the states between the New C63s and f80 M3/M4? The c63s has just been released in OZ and there seems to be a bit of hype at the moment about the new c63s being the better car.

How loud is the Awe non rest with downpipes compared to the GTHaus GTC with downpipes?

Is the GTHaus a lot louder? does the Awe have way more pops and bangs?

GTHaus is the loudest exhaust.

AWE non-res for stock DPs. Res for catless DPs. Users reported zero or no drone, minimum rasp. They spend a lot of time with R&D, especially their passion to eliminate drones and reduce rasp.

Now they just need to build an exhaust for my F85.

Hands down, GTHaus with Downpipes is louder than AWE non res with downpipes.

We have installed both systems at the shop, and AWE with non res sounds better than GTHaus. It has more of a refined tone.
