lol, I love the inaccuracies about the E92 GTS on this thread.

However, I hope that unlike the E92 GTS, they actually bring this one to the states.

This would be pretty badass. Lighter car which is already fast in stock form and likely slight power bump.

The e92 GTS was way too overpriced. There wouldnve been no way anyone was going to spend 136k euros on this when a GT3 RS was around the same ballpark.

I love SO did not like until I saw it in person, same way I feel about AY and YMB. At the end of the day colors are really subjective

Hopefully us Yanks will get a chance to own these next editions.
I think that's what the M2 is for.
Hmmm well now that we all know M is for Motorsport:

228i = Cayman
235i = Cayman S
M2 = Cayman GT4

428i = Carrera
435i = Carrera S
M4 = GT3

No need to ever have interest in a Porsche after this epic discovery.

This argument doesn't apply to things are not supposed to be for the mass public. People who have money and want exclusivity will buy and did buy the GTS when there is a C63 Black Series and GT3 available.

The interesting thing about the GTS is that there is room for progress in not only performance but also in further application of lighter materials ie Carbon.
The current M3 and M4 are using what was possible at that point , technically that was two years ago despite being launched this year.
The M2 will also offer some limited surprises.

Every year progress in Carbon application will become evident. The new 7er and 5er will be the first BMW portfolio cars in volume but the next generation of BMW 3er and X3 will drop about 100KG thanks to additional Carbon application amongst aluminium , magnesium and hot pressed steel.

Yeah I guess you're right.

But are you seriously telling me that you'd buy an M3 GTS over a GT3?

They all suck and they're boring. Estoril Blue II doesn't look anywhere near as good as Le Mans Blue(My favorite blue of that generation) or even Interlagos. None of the colors are M specific.

I wouldn't but I would understand if someone chose a M3 GTS over a GT3. It's not like the M3 GTS is a bad car...and clearly at this price range, money isn't an issue so these people would buy what makes them happy and that happens to be a GTS!
