Oh come on give me some credit I know that, but why are some of you using the logo? It's like an advertisement of sort? That will subconsciously brainwash us to buy it

Just want to chime in and reiterate what PTF said, if you are worried about voiding your warranty i highly recommend taking it to a private shop prior to visiting the dealership to ensure you wont have an issue strolling into the service department. Also having worked at a few BMW dealers as a tech/advisor/service manager and being a mod friendly guy, there is only so much even the dealer can do if the data is sent to BMW with a DME Tampering code.

I'm guessing you weren't around for this avatar when the JB3 was out :

Terry paid us with escorts back then. Its a shame Dzenno pays on commission basis.

We are digressing, but it seems JB got their shit right, bye bye BM3 (and as my disclaimer say not interested in tuning, only learnt about its existence when I got my M4 and all I see people hungry for more power for this platform, I am like : what's wrong with them)

Anyone on here had a problem with their car starting up after they had their DME removed and reinstalled for bootmod3 flash. The flash have not yet been done since my car won't start. Had an error code 119404.

Chiming in since I was the guy that posted about that code.

Like bm3 said, flashing the car at the dealer will throw the code no matter what.

The dealer had no idea I had the tune until I turned the car in and they tried to cpo it. One of the Service bulletins required an updating of dme software, which they performed and the code was revealed.

Whether it's bm3, vf hex, etc..that code will be revealed if BMW decides to update coding.

What was the final outcome with that car after the tune was revealed? Was there any repercussions directed at you from BMW?

This thread is hilarious. Its like some you guys want fake news or something. You mod you pay to play. What product on earth do you know that you can open up and alter and keep your warranty? Stop being a bunch of pu$$ies and man up. If you mod you can lose your powertrain warranty. Simple.

None..the dealer just couldn't certify the car. So they sold it with an extended warranty from a 3rd party instead

I've looked up the code for you, "119404 Rail pressure sensor, signal permanently stuck". Some details from ISTA:

Did you do the DME reinstall? Likely you missed a connector.

My mechanic did that with another M. My connector and the other M check out good on his car. Iam hoping it's just a glitch on the files from pro tuning freaks. Have anyone on here had to get a new DME from BMW? How painful is this process?

They really wanted your old car.... surprised they didn't turn you down. Or were you also trading your car in for a newer one?

Yeah my mechanic check everything. He even removed the DME and reinstalled still same problem. Not sure if it has to do with the DME unlocking process if any wires got snip. Or the files protuning freaks gave out. Anyone here have to get a New DME from BMW? Is this a painful process?

Hi ///MFlight81, the unlock file will not cause the issue. We'd suggest ensuring you have the connectors fully plugged in/seated after reinstalling the DME. One of the connectors can be mistaken for another and there's a chance to swap them.

We can assist further if any other questions at all via our support site, here's a link:

Okay, maybe I missed this. 60 number limit on flashes.

Does that mean if I flash from different maps/stock map, after 60 times I'm SOL?

A file won't cause that error. A connector or pin is not inserted correctly, or there is some damage on the board.
