warped rear rotors 6K miles..

so last week i noticed a slight pulsation under breaking over 65 MPH, not in the steering wheel but more in my seat and floor of the car.. so im figuring its coming from the rear of the car.. had the wheels balanced they where perfect.. now feeling it under 60MPH so its got to be the rear roters.. only have 6K on the car..

1) seems weird the rears have an issue before the front no?

2) its a 2017 so no free brakes but do anyone think i have a chance at a warranty since its so low miles..? any one ever experience this?

That's interesting. My advise is to take it to your dealership and have them diagnose the problem as opposed to guessing. I dont think a brand new car should have shaking/shuddering. You have nothing to lose by taking it to them.

My F10 M5 had it at like 14k miles blue heat spots totally trashed they asked if I went to the track, I said never... NOT ONCE. [lots of 150-40 stops on the highway tho]...

They opened a Puma case said they did 1 good will service.

I had the same problem, pad mark was left on my rotor after parking the car with the handbrake on for a week. Had to cnc the rotor to get it out.

Likely to be uneven brake pad deposit on the rotors.

Remove wheels, Spray some brake cleaner, wet rotors with water and use 900-1000 grit sandpaper and briefly sand it. Wear a 3M N95 mask as it isn't good to breathe in brake dust.

Put wheels back on and redo a proper brake run-in. See if it helps.

Have you done any burnouts lately?

With under 12K miles, the dealer may help.

My rear rotors got replaced for warping around 9k miles . . . It was a freak occurence - I had some shuddering. Service tech immediately diagnosed and warranty replaced. I would imagine you'll be in the same boat.

Take it to the dealer and have them measure the rear rotors to see if theyre out of spec. Will be covered under warranty not maintanence plan. You should be good.

i dont do like dead stop power brake burn outs but i do snap it loosed in 2nd gear and power slid/drift on off ramps and intersections daily.. can this warp the rotors? ive done this my entire life and never been an issue other then needing new rear tires ever 8 k miles..

I've had rotor warping issues on my 5 series. Be careful when you go to the car wash after driving. Hot rotors and cold water can cause warping.
