Should I buy this used 2015 M3?

I checked this car out and drove it too, but passed due to the condition inside and some cosmetic stuff on the body. The radar has the rear view mirror display and it ran well. Talking to the dealership they stated a few times they were like Carmax and they didn’t negotiate price. 😳. I wasn’t sold on the car so I didn’t push that...oh yea, one of the sales guys said he liked the car when he took it to McDonald’s...sounds like it’s being used/abused by the sales team...lol

If you have the entire country to work with you can do way better than this. I had a 15 manual. Personally, I would go to a comp pack for the improved exhaust steering, and little tweaks. The 15 wasnt fully baked yet.

Always spend a couple extra $$ for a super clean car, you will enjoy it more.

Find one you want. When you are ready to buy it, make them your offer. If they take it you have a deal. If not move on to the next one.

You have all the leverage with no trade in to deal with.

For me that interior looks too dirty, which means it was probably worse when they got the car in. Not well cared for for an M owner. The Nav display looks all scratched. I'd pass.

You shouldn't feel afraid to ask. In fact, I'd ask for $6k off. If they say no ask them to counter and go up to the number you are interested in ($4k). That's just my style. Trust me. If they say no they wont hang up.

BTW...years ago, when i got my first BMW (CPO 2006 330xi) every dealer wanted between 30-36k. When i told them i wanted 25k they all said "you may want to try a 2005, or a 2006 325). I said "nope"...guess what, a dealer got me what i wanted. It had all the options i wanted, and the best color ever (arctic metallic silver)

As for the cars interior....is it stained or is it dirty? if it's dirty tell them to clean it up before delivery. If it's stained, thats a different story

When considering used cars with interiors such as this, it speaks to the overall treatment of the car. It's not likely that an owner would *just* let the car get dirty - it's more likely that they would also bang the interior around, causing blemishes, scratches, etc. Same for the outside. You can tell a lot from the cleanliness of the car, and the fact that the dealer didn't even bother to send it to detailing before pictures is a head scratcher (yet all too common for whatever reason).

my 2 cents (in bitcoin, of course): age is about right for just off lease, but we find it in a Buick dealer's lot? Any chance BMW didn't want it because they couldn't CPO it? Expensive gamble in my opinion. If I was looking for a used F80, I would use Roundel, and nothing else. Those cars weren't leased and they were most likely owned by fanatics like most of the people on this forum. They will usually come with detailed service records. The bad news: it will probably take longer then you want. But, like I said, it's a lot of money. Regarding the plugs: my brother's '15 F82 was recalled, we assume by BMW, just this week for new plugs at 18,200 miles. He had noticed no issues, but reports that when he got it back it was clearly stronger. He got the old plugs back and they were pristine: light coffee tan and no buildup at all. No explanation from the SA, who is usually pretty forthcoming. No idea if the new plugs are the same as the old ones. Pretty mysterious I think.

I say look at car fax, ask someone from BMW if they can give you info on the maintenance, really check the car out and potentially have a mechanic inspect it for you, test drive it. $48k is a decent deal for all the options you are getting. It just needs a detailer to clean it up.

People are coming up with potential conspiracy theories but there's a good chance this dealership offered the person a way better deal for trading it in than BMW offered. My wife got top dollar for trading her Lexus to Infinity when she bought her new vehicle. I got ripped off when I traded my BMW E46 M3 to get another BMW but I didnt care cause I just wanted to get my F80 (which I got at a price few can believe).

I got a 6mt w MW color . Everything else is base. 61k . So your price is definitely a possibility
