666M Wheel Powder Coating

Hi,

Was searching through threads but could not locate one that recommend powder coating. Anyone has a recommended shop near NJ/NY area to coat the OME wheel to gloss black?

I leased the current vehicle and plan to coat it Thanks for advice!

I race with a guy named Jay Menzo 732.703.4397. Jay owns NJBentWheel http://njbentwheel.com/. They do wheel repair, reconditioning and powder coating. Give Jay a call.

only problem with changing the color on leased wheels is that you will have to change them back to the same color you first got the car. That is the only reason I didn't make mine black.

My client advisor told me I can black out my wheels without a problem even though I am leasing, as long as they are oem wheels when returning

You're lucky then I would of made them black for sure if I didn't have to make them back to silver.

I use Mario at Proformance in New Rochelle for *everything*. You won't be disappointed. but the 666M's are a bear to return to factory finish if your car is going back off lease. Money is better spent on a backup set that your will powdercoat.

Yeah I asked CA the same question, looks like they will accept it as long as the rim is OME regardless of the color (unless some ridiculous colors).

The only issue with me that I haven't solved yet is I purchased wheel and tire insurance. Not sure if the insurance company would cover coated rims.

Any suggestion guys? Thanks!

Kindly see above, returning lease seems not a big concern. For me Insurance coverage is not confirmed yet.
