I saw the pics, seems like a good idea, but you actually reduce clearance a bit.

So add a lip to the lip? And here I thought half the purpose of the lip was to protect the bumper from eating the scrapes. Just replace the whole front bumper with titanium!

I read this thread yesterday morning...thinking, these guys just need to be more careful. I've got plenty of miles on my GTS with not a hint of a scrape.

At 3pm I pulled too far forward and scratched the leading edge of the lower splitter. OMFG!

Yup. That's exactly when it happens. When you think you got it down; boom!!

It's the most stressful part of driving the car, pulling headfirst into a parking spot!

super expensive, there is now a full replacement under tray by fall line in polyurathane which can be painted for a little over 550, id much prefer that, i actually ordered one and am waiting for it to come in, this way if it gets banged up i wont be upset

Yeah, I priced up the material and it was about $75 but I have not done it yet. I was going to use King Starboard...1/2" thickness in black, cuts like wood.

I had the thicker 3M protection film put on the underside of my splitter. Saved me a couple times.

You can pull the whole splitter, wrap it and then do an extra layer of thicker film on the leading edge and underneath.
That's what we do.
