AWRON Digital Gauge

AWRON Digital Gauge

If you have a turbo car then you naturally want a boost gauge to watch those turbos spool up! There are a few steam dial style options out there but they are limited to single values and require pods or pillar mounts which were cool in 2002 in my Celica but not so much in my later years. I honestly was not planning on an aftermarket gauge until I came across the Awron line of products. When it comes to the most elegant and well designed option, the Awron Digital Gauge is the only way to go! Awron purchases OEM center vent assemblies and repurposes them for use with the digital display. They went to great lengths to match the factory plastic and also purposefully designed the backlighting to match the BMW amber and white scheme. The Gauge comes with a harness which interfaces with the CANBUS system in the passenger footwell, the same point the MPerformance Steering wheel plugs-in, and links into steering wheel controls for easy manipulation. Along with boost, I get coolant temp, oil temps, and voltage on the primary display. In addition to the information the gauge also allows you to manually control the exhaust flap as well as automatically deleting the emissions CEL for catless downpipes. Manual exhaust flap control alone is well worth the money because I can make the Akrapovic exhaust system as quiet as stock on demand for driving in the neighborhood or next to a law enforcement vehicle

Install was very simple, don't be frightened by harness re-wiring, the instructions were very strait forward. Other functinos include realtime G-meter, 0-60, 0-80, 40-120 timer, AFR, EGT, max temps and values for last drive, and the coolest feature in my opinion, a 1/4 mile timer complete with starting tree and stats analysis!

This is a top shelf product that is well worth the money and a topic of conversation anytime I show the car to someone. A+ mod!

does the vent air just bottom out against the back of the unit or is it routed to the r/h vent?

It is blocked off, the excess air comes through the second vent though.

Love my AWRON gauge as well! I've never planned on modding my M4 much, but this is one mod that I absolutely had to have. Highly recommend everyone to get one!

I was looking at purchasing the gauge but decided against it. This post has totally changed that haha. I like placement. Any problems with the air after install?

I've had no issues with one less vent. I just adjusted the middle passenger one to blow air at me

Damn you Awron. I fully recognize that I don't need an Awron gauge, but every time I see it, I WANT it so badly...it just looks soooo good (and useful).

No issues here either, the air is redirected to the remaining vent, keeping the cabin as cool as it was before.

No problems with air flow, the second vent just blows stronger.

We've sold and installed quite a few of these over the past month and run one in our shop car as well. Even in the extreme heat here in FL I have no complaints. The fitment and functionality is unmatched IMO!
