Ok now that really does shake things up a bit as i prefer the one on the right lol. But i was trying to avoid the M Perf exhaust out of principal as i think it should shave been on the car from the start.

i was about to buy the can flap but then the thing that put me off is that you have to be stationary to switch between the open and closed options. I'm now leaning towards the CG valve as that comes with a remote.

That's not true. Who told you that?

I do it driving all day long? It can be annoying because it changes the dash info too. But you can change it back.

so I am actually ok with the power and performance I have so will not be looking to improve in that area. also I don't want to start creating warranty issues as a result of changing down pipes and a remap. All I really want is a better sound.

So what is your advice? Just go axle back as the mid pipe makes little difference or go cat back?

Ideally I want a valve system but seems that the minute you go down that route you are really looking at $5.5k plus for a cat back system.
The above posts have answered better than I would

AWE is a great choice.

It all depends on the sound you want out of the car and how loud you want it to be.

Shoot me a PM with your contact info and we can discuss over the phone

I think I know the answer but want to ask and be sure. Does anyone else make a cat-back exhaust that removes the resonator but leaves the secondary cat in place besides the MPE?

As far as I can tell everything that doesn't remove your secondary cat also leaves the resonator. The only exception is MPE. Correct or am I missing one?

Nice sound, probably amazing with dp's, but it being a 3D design part, probably costs arm n leg

Correct. I'll make a full exhaust compilation this weekend featuring:

- Eisenmann Resonated (stock downpipe/BMS Stage 1)

- M Performance with downpipes (PP Tune)

- FI with downpipes (PP Tune)

- Remus with stock downpipe (stock tune)

- Stock ZCP Exhaust (ZCP - stock -)

- Stock exhaust

Maybe a few other ones as well, depends on how many people hit me back about this weekend

Akrapovic

Just picked up my Yas Blue 2017 Convertible M4 with comp package a few weeks ago. Love it!

Wanting to do an aftermarket exhaust and rear carbon diffuser.

Has anyone tried this set up:

BMW Performance Exhaust with Akrapovic tips? Do they fit?
I like the sound a bit better but like the Akra tips
Akra Part # TP-CT/26

What about the Akrapovic Rear Carbon Diffuser on a 2017?
Akra Part #DI-BM/CA/1

Are there any carbon fiber rear deck lid spoilers for 2017 convertibles?

Thanks for any thoughts.
