VRSF F80 charge pipe installation thread

If anyone's looking for some pictures of the install, here are some, perhaps they are helpful. I found that, due to the charge pipes not coming with bolts, I had to re-use the OEM bolts and it is quite difficult to to get them to work with the VRSF charge pipes. Once fully installed, there's a ~1mm gap between the head of the bolt and the flange of the charge pipe.

There was heavy rain today so I was not able to fully test them out, but so far no issues. I'm on a PTF stage1 flash, so once the weather dries up I'll do some pulls and log them to check for boost leaks.

Had mine installed yesterday and it seated properly with no issues

That gap would not make me very comfortable

You did resuse the OEM O-rings I assume?

Yes and it seated like the OE CP

Funny thing I forgot to install the O-rings on my first install

Car lost about 80whp due to the leak, returned back to stock and had them done right again yesterday

vrsf, BMS or silicone charge pipes?

I'm about to replace my spark plugs so I need to decide.

I would think silicone pipes will least likely to have fit issues.

Are you sure it didn't come with bolts? When I got my VRSF chargepipes, it came with bolts.

Mine didn't come with bolts either. Had to buy 4 extra bolts for the next time I have to remove them.

They were $0.54 each just two months ago, but it looks like the price has skyrocketed since.

Bolts should have been included with all CP kits. Shoot us an e-mail if you didn't get bolts and we'll make sure they're expedited over ASAP. The OEM o-rings are re-usable but we offer replacement o-rings directly on the website as well.

The OEM bolts will work without issue as well, there shouldn't be a gap. If there is you just need to tighten the bolt a bit more. A washer will also resolve this issue but I'll make sure our guys check our existing inventory and make sure the accessories are included.

I had bolts with my VRSF kit. They came in a small plastic bag and I almost overlooked the bolts that were included in the box with all of the packing peanuts. Good write up OP.

Just loosen the bolt at the turbo, loosen both clamps at the intercooler and adjust the chargepipe until it no longer makes contact

I installed the vrsf charge pipe but am having difficulty putting the e10 bolts back. I hand tightened them and it sits in, but my e10 socket cannot get on top of the bolt to tighten them all the way as the charge pipe comes in the way. Any idea what to do?

Also there were (2) Allen bolts and washers supplied I don't know what it is for

Pls help thanks
