The remote has two buttons (I assume one for on and one for default) ... can you program a single HomeLink button to toggle the unit on/off, or do you need to take up two buttons for full control?

That's what I want to know too. Has anyone successfully programmed the remote to the homelink in the car? I've always had problems getting the homelink to recognize the remote on my previous cars

Yes, it will take up two buttons - one button for ON and one button for OFF.

It seriously only took about 5 seconds to program each button.

that's good ----- helps you know what mode you are in. imagine one button ----- you wouldn't know if open or closed.

Thanks dut. I was honestly hoping it was a toggle, as I need two of the buttons for garage door openers. Still looks to be a great deal though.

No problem Brennan.

You can somehow mount the supplied remote somewhere, or clip one of your garage door openers on the visor.

Nice. Homelink compatibility seals the deal as far as this being the best valve controller available for us imo.

Just curious...

If i planned on pretty much leaving it open all the time is this a waste for me. Would I just want to unplug the motor cable from the exhaust after shutting the car down in Sport+?

I don't think it's a waste. I keep mine open all the time as well, but ordered one. I just didn't like the fact that the cables were just dangling around with the pins taped up ghetto style haha. I mainly purchased it because cold start with my MPE is way too loud.

If you are certain you want and will keep the valves open at all times then yes just unplug and call it a day.

If you look at the installation instructions, you'll see that it's simply a control unit that bolts on top of one of the two valve servos that themselves bolt onto the exhaust.

That said, it should work with any exhaust that is valved. OE or after market. The module doesn't care if it's Akra or OE, Ti or stainless, etc.

yes, this will work with any exhaust that uses a valve set up and uses the oem valve motors which I believe this time is every exhaust out.
