Anyone find that the cable that runs across to the other side to be too short? It could be my exhaust but I found that when I ran the wire behind the heat shield as the instructions stated, it wasnt long enough to plug into actuator on the other side.

Might be the wrong heat shield spot. You kinda have to jam it into this tiny lip above the pipes, towards the end of the can I think. It was a bit of a pita, tbh. but worth it

I had plenty of length. Are you running an OE exhaust? I know that the eissemann (sp?) rotates the valve motors out a bit, increasing the distance between them.

Magnaflow. Its OK though... I routed the wires up instead of forward, and it reaches. Its not the same as the instructions but I think it works.

If you're stock height you could probably get away with driving on 2x8 board or Race Ramps or whatever to raise the car a tad.

So I took a look at the installation. How do you get enough space to take off the 2 screws where the valve connector goes?

Fitted mine this week, and very pleased with. It does exactly what it is meant to, and at a very fair price. The unit, wiring and connectors, and remotes are great quality too. Thanks to CG for this product.

It would be great if the Homelink button could be used as a toggle switch (just like a garage door. ) That way a separate remote could be avoided for those of us who have two garage doors.

You can.. I use my unused homelink button to activate the vsc2. I have two garage doors though, so if i want to deactivate I use the remote. I have it set to OEM control when activated though (and fully open as default), so I don't really need to deactivate it... just put it into sport or sport+. I only activate it in the morning for cold start.

EDIT... I mean, you can not. (Reading comprehension was not my strongest subject) But yeah, if you have it set to OEM control just put it in sport.

Question..... Since you have to specify how you want the controller to operate at the time of purchase, how is the valve controller programmed to your desired default and activated settings? Is there a small toggle switch or jumper inside the unit that is moved to the desire positions? Or is the valve controller programmed from the manufacturer using top secret, proprietary software?

I ask this question because what if I order it as Default=open and Activated=OEM, but then I change my mind and want to change the settings?

Thanks for the question. Unfortunately, the user is not able to change the programming of the controller. The vast majority of people order the following settings:

Default: Open
Activated: Auto

OR

Default: Auto
Activated: Open

We have not had anyone request a change in their programming. If you really are not happy with the settings, we could modify the VSC-2 for you. Just send it back and we could make the change.

Thanks!
