Are you willing to hunt down an allocation and order new? You might not come across that combo for a while.

Yeah that's what I was doing with my dealer. I'm waiting for a call back in the allocation question and timing. My current 335 lease is up in December. So I think I have some time... we'll see what he says.

Just don't fall for the "yea, come in a leave a deposit and we'll place your order" gimmick. They either have an allocation or they don't. Tell them you're not leaving a deposit without an order/production number.

Agreed. My dealership already had the production number ready for my '18 F80 order. I put the production number on the memo line of my check for the deposit.

I did the same.

Hey Scout, how long did it take you to go from status 102 to 112 (assuming you are)?

thanks!

Still at 102, we got our color accepted by the BMW Individual person here in BMWNA, now just waiting for BMW AG to accept our color. So still at 102. Where are you?

I was in 102 for about 2.5 weeks. Just got moved into 111 yesterday. My 102 status was requested week 30 and 111 just moved it to week 32 ending production. We'll see if 112 gets it locked in for early August

2.5 weeks is typical/normal, and keep in mind the automated phone status lags behind the actual status by a few days. It's best just to speak to a rep who can provide real-time updates.

You are a week ahead of me. I am scheduled for Week 33 (at 112 currently).

I am curious how many custom color vehicles Regensberg can process per week. I never see more than a small handful of people on the forum have their custom color orders scheduled for the same week of production. I don't know how representative our sample set is.

I finally got a production number .... called to check and it says "schedule for production". I can't imagine how much anxiety I'm going to have in the coming weeks/months checking on a daily basis.

Congrats! Don't check daily. Check weekly. It's a slow process.

Hmm, mine did not need a deposit. SA said I'd need to put one down once they have a VIN (which is to happen first week of August)... I do have a production number, confirmation from BMWNA that it is approved, got the ED package, and confirmed delivery date...

Mine required a deposit because it is an individual color ($5200 individual color) build. The gsm of my dealership actually offered to not take my deposit until it was in production as a sign of good faith to me, which I appreciated so I just went ahead and gave them the deposit of front

ah, ok. Yeah, that makes sense.

I mean, I'd want a deposit too if someone wanted to get a M car the same color as the Mary Kay Caddies out there, lol.

Hi all,

I’ve received my production number before I walked out to the dealership. Went in, picked out options, got a production number and put down $1k deposit. Before I left the dealer, production status was 112. That was on July 12. As of now build will be done by 8/2. With estimated delivery of 8/31

Specs of the build are :
M3, Yas Marina with Sakhir Orange/Black full leather
ZCP with silver wheels
Executive package
And most importantly manual gearbox.
