9.5 et20 and 11 et40 is a great/safe set up; it's the set up I ran for the past year. I went with 10 and 11 this time because I wanted to keep the width gap to 1 inch. |

Are you sure ? A 275/30R19 has a smaller diameter than a 265/35R19, so it would increase the stagger difference and increase rake...

Thing is, there are not that many "ideal" PSS fits in that size. I did a fair bit of research, and I find the 265 to be a better fit when paired with a rear 295 (/35R19 or /30R20): the (M0) spec for a 9" wide wheel and either the (N0) or (TPC) specs for a 9.5" wide wheel.

I think Im going to go 11 ET38 in the rear I didnt realize with signature you can go any offset not just powers of 5 like BC. I think on the M4 I should be fine with that and 295 RE71. |

My car only has swift springs as far as suspension and I do not plan on changing that. My camber is about -1.7 up front if I recall. That may be the rear. Ill have to look. If I go a 19/20 stagger Ill want to run 265/35/19 and 295/30/20 Bridgestone RE-71R. I love the looks of all 20s too but my car is pretty useless on MPSS rubber with my power setup. I had 19 R101s on my 15 so going 19s in this wheel may just end up feeling like a cheaper version of those... |

So since I started this thread I should probably update with my 19/20 set up.
SPECS F: 19x10 ET23 - 265/35/19 RE-11 R: 20x11 ET36 - 295/30/20 RE-71R JRZ RS2 Sport with -2.2 degrees of camber all around. |

Please share driving impressions (performance) impressions after you've run the setup a little

I must mention that a week before I installed the new wheels, I swapped my front main springs from Eibach ERS 500lb to 350lb with the tender spring remaining 150lb (this suspension change had more to do with daily driving than performance). This had a significantly larger effect on feel/performance compared to the wheel/tire swap. When I did eventually swap out the wheels/tires, I did feel an initial difference, but I think it had more to do with the new rear tires (especially since the overall diameter and contact patch changed); as opposed to the wheels. In fact, the new 19/20" set up (although wider in the front and taller in the rear) is lighter than my previous all 19" set up. Another thing to note is that I have not tracked this car, nor will I with this new set up. So getting a wide range of performance metrics will not be completely accurate from my POV. The best you'll get is daily driving as a family car to aggressive canyon driving. Also to note, we've had record amounts of rain this past month, so any kind of hooning was a no go so far. I will keep you updated, but from the looks of it, I doubt the wheel size difference has any measurable difference unless you take it to 10. Thanks! When are you gonna get your new set up? Here's another pic of the wheel's concavity and finish in the shade. |

Not sure yet. Maybe summer? The wife is in the midst of renovating the house right now, so it depends how long that takes...

Man your setup looks good! Will there be no issues running different tyres in the front/rear? I've always read that it's not recommended to run different tyres.. never understood why but care to weigh in? I avoided 20's and am receiving a set of Vorsteiners in 19's because the tyre options are limited for 20's and they don't make RE71R in a 265 or 275 in 20's. Signature wheels look extremely good and are well priced! I'm receiving my Vorsteiners tomorrow but it's safe to say that if I change wheels, I'll go for Signature wheels next Again, amazing looking car! |

As far as the mismatched tires go... the answer is, technically yes. If the peak performance temperatures are off front to back, I can experience major handling issues. However, both are Extreme Summer Performance tires and I don't imagine coming even close to the grip limit while daily driving. I reused my front RE11 for several reasons. First, I wanted to make sure the noise level of the RE71R wasn't ridiculously louder than the RE11 before committing to buying a set of 4. It's a new tire, so not too many reviews are out yet. Second, there was still a bit of life left in the RE11s and they fit on the new wheel. Being winter, I figured I could use them until summer at which point I could order the matching RE71R if reason number 1 was acceptable. Third, cost. Just to save a little money up front. Fourth, I was actually hoping to get into a set of R888Rs, but they have very limited sizing at the moment. If they introduce the right sizes this year, I may wait for a set of those instead. But so far, I'm liking the RE71Rs. |

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...2#post24266582 So far, I've gotten one reply -- in which the poster suggested that the 2.6% disparity in tire diameter front-to-rear might wreak havoc with my ABS and traction control systems. Now I see that your gorgeous setup has (or had -- perhaps you run a different setup or different vehicle now) a 2.7% diameter disparity between the fronts and the rears! Pray tell; did you experience any such issues??? Thanks in advance, x.shell |

I think if you're gonna run the car on track, you should learn to go with Traction Control OFF; you won't run into any ratio issues. |
