Vehicle Arriving Soon...

Any tips on detailing it myself once I receive it?

I requested for it to stay wrapped and no one to detail it... was this a bad idea? Should I let the dealership do the initial detailing?

No, you did the correct thing by telling them not to touch it.

As far as detailing it yourself. The first thing is removing the package film and then cleaning and protecting it. I actually would enlist a pro for the initial, and then you can maintain it afterwards. That is just my $.02

Yup you made the right choice. I did the same thing. Leave the tape and plastic on the car and do not wash. They will install swirl marks on your car. I waited a week and got a cquartz ceramic coating. It makes maintenance washes super easy.

I'm leaving all the wrapping on the car as well (exterior and interior). Driving straight to detailer for PPF and coating. It will be painful having the car for only 1 hour after waiting 2 months for it.

Do you guys think I can wait a few days after receiving it to get it detailed?

Drive around with the wrap for a few? xD

Car's going to be sitting in the dealer's warehouse for 2 weeks or so anyway... Is it okay that it will be sitting in the warehouse like this?

Sits on a ship for a month or so with it then on a transport truck for a few days. Should be fine. Are you delaying delivery to time with your pull ahead or something? That's what I'm doing and the car is in storage at he VPC. Hopefully it's indoors...

I'm delaying picking the car up from the dealership for approx. 2 weeks.

He told me once it arrives I can come visit it in their indoor warehouse where it will be stores and not touched until I come sign the papers.

^ These guys without a doubt.

With regard leaving the wrap on the car; just make sure you check for any damage that a detailed can't repair e.g. Dents, scrapes especially on trims.
