what upgrades needed for M4 Heritage to get close to M4 CS spec/setting

Hi there, I just purchased an M4 Heritage in Laguna Seca blue and I was wondering what sort of upgrades the car would need to get close to CS's spec. I know about the damper setting, but what else are there that would need upgrade/tuning/coding to get my Heritage close or similar to a CS?

Thank you all for your response in advance

Should have bought a CS as not worth trying to convert it. If you want genuine parts see below and note lights and hood are almost impossible to buy second hand so are CCB full kit or even seats.

Estimated costs are

CS Lights - 6k
CS Hood - 6k
CS Rims - 5k
Antiroll Bar - 1k
CS Seats - 5k
CCB - 7-8k

You left off the cs dampers which are only used on the cs and zcp. There’s additional coding costs for cs diff, steering, edc and dsc/mdm as well as cs DCT flash. Additional, there’s the cost of an ecu tune to increase hp/torque to cs levels. The CS lights you have listed above only gets you the front lights. OLED taillights are $10k. However, not all cs came with CCBs. Then there are the door/side cards which aren’t cheap. After investing all of the money and time needed to convert a heritage edition into a cs, you’ll have a car likely worth less than the price paid for the heritage model.

Thanks, not looking for cosmetic changes as heritage is V especial. but under-the-bonnet upgrades, as well as ecu, steering etc...

So you’d need:

ZCP/cs dampers
CS antisway bars
CS springs
CS DCT flash
CS coding for diff, steering, dsc/mdm, and edc
CS ecu engine tune (better off getting a gts level tune)

I think that’s all you need to get cs suspension, drivetrain and power upgrades.

I think the CS uses ZCP front anti roll bar and non-Comp in the rear

Not sure what modules the ABS is part of, but it was also tuned to compliment the Cup 2 tyres

Wasn’t aware of the abs difference but I’ve had no trouble with abs on my base f82 when running 40-60 TW tires (considerably sticker tires than psc2).

This is flipped, at least with the F80 CS; the front sway bar is off a Civic M3, and it uses a ZCP rear.

Would not flash as Heritage came with some unique settings hence might be closer to the CS settings if not the same already as they never said.

What did it come with? I am not aware of anything besides cosmetic stuff.

With a heritage pack, functionally you need the following:

Base front sway bar + CS damper flash
CS DCT flash (though I would recommend GTS DCT over CS DCT)
GTS Steering flash

CS MDM flash (if this exists)
CS Diff flash (if this exists)

Springs should be fine as is.

Heritage cars didn’t get the carbon driveshaft either right? If not that’s a pretty big bummer.

2020 M4 HE.. Everyting done from BMW MP
Except Mperformance exhaust.

Don’t build a fake CS just leave the CS alone and focus on aftermarket parts or OE+ MP

Correct due to the OPF on the exhaust and can’t be retrofitted - Best spec car for 2017 to early 2018 comp pack in terms of car spec you got as bmw quietly removed a few options quietly - Carbon Drive Shaft which was to reduce weight and rotational speed. Headlight washers and dimmable passenger mirror, m performance exhaust was also not available as an option from late 2018 cars due to the OPF.

Love the seats and would agree to leave it alone unless you want to build the ultimate BMW that they did not build due to cost.

I'm sorry but, you've changed the rims from m666(original M4 Comp and Heritage) to CS rims, and the steering wheel you've changed to CS style(Alcantara), the steering wheel triming you change to fake carbon fiber(which don't match the H triming, becasue they are red/blue/grey instead of back/white/grey and also you got rid of the ///M logo at the bottom of the steering wheel)... so not sure you practice what you preach bruv...

Loving the (Imola Red || ), it looks gorgeous but Laguna Seca Blue is a head and a shoulder above the Red or Velvet Blue, in my opinion.
but tnx anyway

What do you mean by “Carbon Drive Shaft which was to reduce weight and rotational speed”?
