No ED this time around. Just a standard order. I'm sure you must be anxious at this point. Seeing the car and leaving it only to be reunited again!!

Yup, this is the really crappy part of the process. No real status updates at all until your car gets to the dealer. You can monitor the WW site to see when it clears customs but that is painful too.

Good luck to all!!

Mine said Discharged as well. It is because our cars, who did ED, do not get custom release while the cars are still on the ship. ED cars get clear custom and agricultural inspection only when the cars are off loaded, and the inspection will be performed on site. The dark side for our ED cars was getting thru custom. Once the car released from custome, it will be sent to VDC, your CA should able to get information when the car will be ready to put on a truck to your dealer.

What you saw was your car has been released from custom and it should now be delivered to VDC. Check with your car as he/she will be able to obtain information when your car will be released and put on truck to your dealer.

Congrats. Post pictures when it is delivered to you.

from few days to few week, even a month if the car is selected for in-depth inspection. my CA told me they have a client whose M3 was taken it all apart for inspection, and BMW needs to put it back tgt. The whole process took a month.

Thanks for the information. So for ED cars, the WW site cannot be used to monitor for customs clearance - is that correct?

Just talked to BMW Genius and was told that all of the cars affected have been entered into the system and mine is not one of them. According to the guy I talked to, he said they'd know if it was.

How'd you find that out? I was on the phone with a Genius rep 10 minutes ago and he couldn't tell me anything.
