What exactly did you wait 12 weeks for? Color approval?! That sounds like a nightmare. Submitted my color 6 days ago. Should be easily approved, considering it's been done multiple times. Doing October ED.

Indiv Always varies The process takes a while either way. There is no set timeline with Indiv even if the color has been done before. Your at the mercy of Indiv

I personally feel the wait although can be longer is always worth the wait. Indiv is awesome!

Of course you had something to say jimmy, even though no names were mentioned. Something to hide? Guilty conscience?

Of course you guys blame BMW because you don't have any integrity.

I guess cats out of the bag now and everyone's gonna wanna know what happened. But since you guys are a paying sponsor any negative comments from me will be quickly deleted by the moderators.

I practically had to lawyer up to get my deposit back after Aviles threatened to keep it. I've moved on and needless to say they won't be getting any recommendations from me.

Some people are impossible to help, you my friend are one of those people. We went above and beyond for you including myself but that was not enough for you. I said it before and I will say it again I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. We have explained everything to you step by step which we have all documented but that was not what you wanted to hear or see. Good luck with whatever you decide but everyone on here knows myself and our store will always go above and beyond for customers and I can CONFIDENTLY say we did that for you. I'll leave it at that. If you have any issues feel free to post whatever you want.

Jimmy your opinion is of no importance. You don't work at the dealership you only know what you are told.

Every thing in life is a lesson learned. I got my deposit back and that's the end of it.

That will be a great looking car. Hang in there the wait will be worth it!

Keep in mind also that build weeks are estimates and can change let's hope in your case it's sooner then later! Enjoy your weekend

Wow, they wanted to keep your deposit? CA law doesn't even allow that. Its 100% refundable here and you could even walk away from the car after it arrives stateside for any reason. That's strange you had to get all legal since the law is on your side.

If you could PM me the info as well that would be great. I'd coordinate with my CA to see what lines up from their end.

Maybe quite interessting for you guys to see a comparison between a German and an US order. My dealer is not a preferred M specialist, but offered me a good price.

My dealer proposed a delivery date somewhere in mid November for me. Indiv. colour and leather option postpones the delivery for approx 10 to 12 weeks.
Hopefully it will be earlier
Seems that somebody answered my prayer, my dealer told me the estimated delivery date of my indiv. M3 ZCP: CW38 !!!

This seems to be too good to be true, but thats what the BMW system says.

3 weeks out is pretty normal. Your week 34 is when the car should finish production. So expect it to start soon.

I finally received a production week (39) about a week and a half ago, and today was notified of my ED delivery date of Oct 1. My car will be an F80 Individual Avus Blue with full Sakhir Orange interior. Originally I had Tanzanite Blue on the order while I was waiting for an allocation and when I got it that build week was 34. Changing to Individual Avus Blue pushed it out 5 weeks. I was worried it would be worse, as I did not want to take ED delivery after the 2nd week in Oct. so far so good!

When they say week 34 or whatever week for example, is it the week it's completed or the week it goes into production?

Just noticed this thread, nice!

I placed an order for an 2017 MY F80 M3 on July 2nd since my dealership had an allocation. I told the SA that I wanted Atlantis Blue as an individual colour, and he definitely knew about it because he saw it on Bimmerpost himself and thought it looked spectacular. As he was ticking boxes and what not, he said he couldn't find Atlantis Blue as an individual colour. He had the obvious ones that are on BMW's website, as well as a few others, but he just could not find and add Atlantis Blue as a colour. I gave him the colour code and all that too. In fact, when I look at the sheet with the options and production number - it shows the colour cost and overall cost of the car as "Blocked".. weird haha.

After contacting quite a few people he knew that were higher up in the food chain, my SA was able to get the Atlantis Blue colour into the order (originally placed the order in Mineral Grey so I can hold the spot) and here we are! I dropped off my 335i yesterday with the dealer, and got the production number and all that. It's currently slated to go into production this week. So it took about a month to get the car into production - not bad at all! I was expecting a delivery around November (not doing ED.)

I called BMW Genius when I got home to confirm the status and they confirmed what the dealer said as well - that the car is going into production this week. Since I live in NYC and the car is slated to go to the port that's in NY, it really shouldn't take too long after production. Optimistically, I was told that I could get the car mid~late August. This is of course - barring any sort of delays and what not. Fingers crossed, there won't be!

If I get it any time in August or September, I'll be one happy guy since I thought I'd be waiting until November. Time to play the waiting game I suppose

For those that are curious about options: F80 M3, Atlantis Blue on Silverstone full interior, ZCP, executive package, LED package, DCT, with a moonroof (I know I know, I couldn't say no to it because the kids love a moonroof.)
