It looks like a Mustang (YUCK) in those pics. BUT, if you look at the pictures of the E92 at a similar time in it's development, it looked pretty awful also. They did a good job of disguising it I guess.

+1

Car is heavily camouflaged. To make any decision now from it's camo'd look is silly.

However, I'm still not sold on the "M4" nomenclature. I understand why BMW is doing it, but still doesn't sit right with me. Guess I'm a traditionalist.

Here is the E92 test mule. looks like a freaking Honda Accord. Nothing like the finished product. There is a reason why BMW camo's their cars.

I don't like the M4 label - at all...

I'm sure this has been beaten to death, but am I alone in this?

After seeing the most recent F30 post on the M4 test mule on the ring, I realized what an assault on my senses it was to see the "M4" and not the "M3"...

Just didn't feel right

I have a feeling...In america where we love "tradition." Whoever is in the business of selling ///M3 badges will have a high demand when the new ///M4 comes out

This mule doesn't even have the bulge on the hood. It's FAR from the finished product.

That's exactly what I saw when looking at the profile shot. They don't camo the early mules, only when the body is taking shape. Even though it's early, I doubt the profile changes much.

It's the line of the hood that really makes me think it looks like the current Mustang.

I'm sure it will be an impressive car, but the currect 3-series styling is definitely inferior to the last two generations.

I think it's a little premature to be judging the appearance on a prototype car, covered mainly in camo, which is still going through a lot of changes (perf, design etc.)and is not due out for another 2+ yrs.
Kinda dumb actually

Take a deep breath... exhale...

Relax! The car will be amazing. I'm sure we'll all be singing it's praises when it comes out. Very much looking forward to it.
