Run in Service - Indicator
Morning all
My run is service is booked for Saturday and should be at approx. 1000 miles. When I booked it they said that I needed to be as close as possible so as to not have any future warranty issues, so last night I called and asked if being 200 miles under would be ok - the guy was as much use as t*ts on a dog! So my question are these? When should I expect the service indicator to change from 'soon' to 'now'? Do you think that 200 miles under should be ok? Ant help would be great as the 'M specialist' knew nowt! Cheers Neil

I looked at quite a few main dealer cars when I was trying to find one and there was plenty in the 1000 - 1400 mile range so I wouldn't worry about it, they were bmw auc vehicles so they wouldn't be selling them if it was an issue.
I did see a few non approved cars that had gone quite a bit over though! I think its much more of an issue going a good few miles over the 1200. If you're still worrying though it sounds like the perfect excuse to burn a tank of fuel Friday Che

IIRC mine was done around the 1000-1100 mile mark with no issues but they do like it to be as close to 1200 as possible.
I'd just take it for 100 mile run if it's an issue for your local dealer.

When we moved house my wife was all about the lounge, which way the garden faced, this size of the kitchen - I was all about how big is the garage and when can I knock the middle pillar down?!?!

Might have to do that, I've planned a 60 mile detour to the dealer on Saturday morning so hopefully that should do it.
