Scratches on roof :(

Hi all

Bit of a lurker on here for some time. Finally swapped my 435i for a M4 non comp a month ago.

Love the car but somehow (no idea how) I have managed to pick up some scratches on the roof. Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix??

Depends how deep they are.

If they're not too deep then a machine polish would sort it as it may have only got the clear coat.

If they are any deeper then that's a whole different story. There a post in the detailing section of a guy doing a diy repair.

Cheers

Neil

the roof scratches really easily. done mine a number of times but easily polished out with a DA polisher. I think it happened to me both times because i left it too long between drying and waxing. If you get any dust/grain of sand or anything like that on the roof then do a hand wax it will scratch. i had a perfect pattern of my waxing routine scored into the roof lol. lesson learned and all that!

BUT that sometimes does not save it, my M6 GC CP got stone hits and it went right through that Xpel, I had to have major re-paint work done.
