The one I bought was a demonstrator (2000km) before the price drop. Was not a whole lot less than the new pricing. Enough for me to be irritated but to not feel completely ripped off.

I saw someone said they could get one new for $110 on road - that WOULD annoy me

Don’t be annoyed. Just enjoy what you have.

Price drops are inevitable in car purchases.

If you are in the market for a car and can be patient, mid year sales generally provide best opportunities to bag a real deal.

Anyone able to shed some light on why BMW is being so aggressive with new car sales at the moment with their M3s? Considering they will cease productive on their current model very soon if not already and there won't be a new one for at least 1+ years?

You would think they could afford to hold onto any stock they have and be more aggressive when the newer model is closer to production.

The dealership called him back and said they will include 20” 666M Comp Wheels into the $110k of the Pure.

He now has to drive and decide between that and the Alfa Giulia Q.V.

Incidentally, Alfa have also dropped their pants and offering a new Giulia Q.V. at $110k with 0% interest.

Interesting decision ahead.

110k on road with Comp wheels. I’m stunned. They’ll include free serving to due to corporate program.

That’s a lot of car. He is an Alfa nut so the decision isn’t so clear cut. What’s hurting the Alfa as an option compared to M3 pure is that it’s missing a seatbelt in rear middle. And my friend has 3 kids.

I would have taken that alfa deal if it came with decent warranty at the time but not anymore. You know what they say about hindsight.

In Australia they are copping a hammering from AMG. I think they just want to sell cars.

Agreed.

AMG are killing it in the sales numbers. BMW are trying hard to overtake the sales figures.

I think there’s a lot of factory indentures at stake for a region if the can claim #1 sales title from competitors such as Audi or AMG.

Visiting Zagame Alfa this morning followed by Southbank BMW. Will keep this thread posted.

I bought this friends Alfa 156 GTA off him, so he’s hankering to get back into another hi-Po Alfa. I’m just hoping reality of Alfa depreciation and potential reliability will dawn on him before final decision is made.

Totally correct....they are getting smashed by AMG and are pushing for more volume in the AU market.

New M2 Comp won't have adaptive according to a thread over on the M2 page. Hold out another 2 months for EOFY sales

How did your mate go? I visited a local dealer today and checked out a Pure, was told no chance of getting a discount off the new price.

Bet you they have a spare set of wheels lying around. Probably a once off.
