The perception may be that 2 doors is "sportier" than 4, but in reality I don't think there will be much performance difference between the two models. The M3 will really be the best of both worlds, practicality of a sedan and performance of a sports coupe. I'm ecstatic about the new CF roof. That is one area I always felt my e90 was aesthetically deficient in comparison to the e92. Even though I live in SoCal and will greatly miss my sunroof, there is no way in hell am I ordering a M3 without that gorgeous CF roof! |

I have the CF now and like it a lot. And although I love my sunroofs, the one in my f30 was very noisy and generally annoying at highway speeds. Don't miss it that much. Not sure if they've changed anything on the f80.

Looks like I picked a good year to go to the Detroit Auto Show for the first time.
I like the looks of the sedan a little more this time. But both look great.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

You will have a blast! And yes, you picked an awesome year! Just the M and i cars in addition to the all new 2 series should make it worth it. I'll have to wait for the April NY show. |

Contrary to everyone here, I like the M3 more ... It is wider than the M4 which makes a difference

Anyone knows if the AY will be available on the M3 ... I think a yellow M3 will really stand out on the road

No sunroof on my M3 - no way I'll give up CF at the highest point of the car and add probably 100+ lbs. for nothing. If I need fresh air I'll take the E93. I'll be crawling around the interior and at least trying to crawl under it to see that CF driveshaft.

Agree. Think the M3 looks much more aggressive. Would love to see it in Mineral grey.

Love the lines of both, but the M3 in particular. I can't wait to see it in person tomorrow. This is my first NAIAS.

The more i see the M4 the more im convinced that its a Alpine white or Black saphire colour car..
This Yas Marina blue thing is just a not serious colour for my tastes. It leaves a huge space for another blue ! Other than that i am also curious concerning the revealing of the new C class AMG.Will they do it in Detroit as well? |
