I wholeheartedly agree - reminded me of those accords with ugly spoilers bolted on to it.

Probably not final production version?

I could be wrong, but the likely reason you're seeing the new front lip now, is because it improves airflow to what is surely a tuned S55.

The GTS is a track machine, that ugly rear wing provides a significant amount of downforce and hopefully helps that rear end stay planted!

I don't know, it's just lacking that track car feel! we shall see the final GTS production!

Weird.
No, it is BMW who chooses not to bring the CSL and GTS to the one market that would actually buy it.

Around half of the M cars of the world are sold the in States. It is ridiculous to not bring the special editions over.

Mercedes can do it. Porsche can do it. BMW should be able to do it as well.

Absolutely true. The company is as profitable as ever. We've been in the cool car penalty box since the E36 M3 lightweight. And yet tons of M cars are sold here!

It's Now or never !

Magic formula:

1. Make it available in the US
2. Make the wing an easy bolt on / off for track days
3. Strip out all unnecessary electronic options like I drive screen, Navigation, HUD... and add race seats, roll cage, HP...
4. Keep it white or other desirable color
5. Limit production to about 1500 cars over a two year model run

Do that and you can name your price! More importantly you will have a true M Halo car!

If you guys at BMW need me to come run your M division please PM me, I have all the answers.

About this car looking (more/not) as agressive as the E92 M3 GTS, imho in the flesh an M3 GTS does not look that special, hate to say it, the spoiler is also not really integrated at all, it's not even visually wider than a normal M3 E92 imho. I never got it, lookswise and pricewise.

M3 CSL 100 times more beautiful imho.
My dealer had a E92 GTS for 2 years asking 199k euros for it....out of their bloody mind. Now they have a pristine low mileage CSL. 68k euros. Like new.

Anyway, we just wait and see.
-------

Give me a 458 Speciale anytime over ANY currently produced car

Cheers
Robin

Wow some of the people who complain on these forums just baffle me sometimes. I'm looking at the e92 GTS wing and lip look exactly like what is being shown in this prototype.

http://www.zcars.com.au/bmw-m3-gts/

I would be more pissed that BMW decided to just be lazy and bolt the previous lip and wing on the current model instead of doing some research and design on getting the wing/lip to flow better on the new model.

Too far out to consider waiting for?

This usually takes 2-3 years to come out after the initial model release. Is BMW feeling the competitive pressure?

Lol so many of you complain about the spoiler and yada yada and wonder why we never get special edition cars...
Maybe because so many of you are physically unable to be pleased. Then you'll complain the race seats out of the CRT are too uncomfortable although you complained we didn't get them!
Not even trolling in the least, and not all of you are like that but it seems like many are.
CSL/GTS/CRT is a purposeful function over form car, not a damn show car.
