Corroded Chrome Exhaust tips
Was cleaning my car and discovered one of the four exhaust tips was pitted/corroded. I've only cleaned it with water and soap. I guess it's time for some new tips... unless these can be saved!

Try some chrome polish, it has a bit of grit in it that may clean it up.
I have a bit of it as well on my car, less than 10k km on the clock, I was thinking it maybe all the salt they use on our roads. |

Yeah, probably salt or something... I'll try chrome polish but I doubt it will bring it back, it's pitted, almost like it created small holes in the finish! I guess a CF tip would be nice and resist the harsh environment.

Ok bought what is supposed to be the best metal polish Autosol (Made in Germany) and went scrubbing with a 0000 wool pad, it's marginally better, maybe needs more elbow grease and a coarser wool pad (000?)
Will post pics after few applications, now my elbow is hurting! |
