Love the tire meat. What offset are you running up front to clear the KW collars, or did you not have any clearance issue? 265/35 mpss?

No issues with this setup.

Wheels are 19x9.5 et20, 19x11 et40 on MPSS 265/35, 305/30.

Worth noting that I'm on KW V3s as well.

Old news but congrats on the new ride, looks awesome. Did you sell your 135? Traded in mine for a X5 and a Prius (soul sucking bore) when I transferred to Lemoore. Looking to get a M3 next year and drooling over SS.

I did! Sold it about 5 months before I was able to get my M3. It took awhile but the wait was worth it. Just a whole another level.

SS was my first choice, I wavered for a bit but absolutely love the color. Definitely do it, you won't be disappointed.

God, I don't miss Lemoore but I only have another 2 months left in active service before I head into the reserves. Got my interview at Delta coming up shortly.

Hey guys, I've never seen this color in person, however, I'm in the market for an F80.

Is this color as blue in person as it looks in pictures?

It really depends on the lighting; I think the paint is very reflective. In overcast conditions or in indirect light the paint looks as blue as it does in most of these pictures, but in bright sunlight or at night the color looks much more silvery. I'd definitely suggest taking a look at the color in person if you can!

Thanks!! That's what I figured... I love Silver/Grey cars and I found a killer deal on a Silverstone F80 but I'm just not in love with the blue-ish tint. Either way, it's an amazing car so I really shouldn't be concerned with it.

Let me tell you a little story about how I had only seen this color at night at my dealership and went ahead with the purchase. The first morning after driving it home, again at night, I was shocked to wake up to a light blue/silver car on a dull gray snowy overcast morning. As others have stated in direct sunlight it's almost pure silver/liquid metal. Same thing at night. On overcast days it picks up hues of blue. After I swapped out my silver wheels for black and added CF bits I am positively in love with this color and wouldn't change it.

Here's mine after a wash the other day in partly overcast conditions.
Second picture is mostly overcast, can you see the nuances?

Your car looks great here. I completely agree with you on color and the same thing happened to me at the dealer. It's very deceiving, but I can appreciate the color and how it shows the body lines of the car. What suspension are you running here and what is your window tint %?

Thanks, I am running Eibach version 2 springs and window tint is 30% light through. You are correct about the SS II showing lines well. It's a really special color

If you guys had the option to choose another color, would you go with something different or would you stick with the SSM?

My choices right now are another Mineral Grey car (my F30 is MGM) or the Silverstone Metallic. SSM has carbon roof w/black 437s, MGM does not have carbon roof and ahs silver 437s.

I owned MG F30 and now SSII F80. Just spent 5 days in a MG loaner and can absolutely say I could never go back. MG is a great color, but in the short 5 days I had it, the car was cringe-worthy filthy and it took every ounce of me to not wash it. SSII keeps going with little maintenance for weeks. Plus it looks amazing with CF bits.
