Dallas Fort Worth M3//M4 guys around ?

I finally saw another M4 on the way work leaving Colleyville, TX on HWY 26 northbound last week.

It was dark blue I think. That's the first other one of seen.

Seen a couple M3s though.

On another note, the sales guy at BMW of Dallas told me that they install JB4's and it wouldn't void the warranty so long as I didn't change maps. Thoughts on this? I'm tempted to go Dinan stage 2 just to be completely worry free, but if I could go JB4 and save money... I'm just a bit skeptical.

Meh. BMW of Dallas is pretty lax on hunting for warranty denials. I had mine hooked up there, but the disclaimer on that is my SA and tech are friends. A regime change could alter the dynamics of those statements pretty easily.

Any tuner is going to alter the boost and fuel maps. So mod at your own risk. Not going to beat the Dinan vs. BMW warranty horse, but I suggest you do a search on the matter if warranty is high up there for you.

I'm in Plano. I've seen a few other F80s and F82s around, at least 2 YMB and saw a white F82 on my way to work in Coppell today.

Would be interested in any meetups that don't start at 6am!

Picking up my Azurite Black/Sakhir Orange M3 as we speak (in Scottsdale) and will be blasting back to DFW. I live in Oak Lawn and work in Addison. Definitely up for meeting some new people and doing some networking! Picking up two more doors than my 2008 and 2013 e92 M3s. I'll get over it; I'm sure the fat rear fender flares and all of the extra torque should put me right at ease 😍

Great to know! Shooting you a pm now - it's always good to meet some local car guys, as none of my core group of friends care at all about what they drive haha. I've had the thought of getting a bunch of car guys to do a cruise, then wind up at Fogo de Chao (full disclosure: I work in the FDC Corporate Office), but think it's a perfect spot/occasion to get together among enthusiasts.
