Hmmm, based on WWL's website, there was only 21 cars discharged from my ship (Don Juan). I wonder if they are going to wait for the next shipment together to send it over OR would they rail it over as normal, OR best yet, flatbed them over!!

Oh ok that makes sense. That will depend on your dealer. It took my dealer 4 days before they got it at their place. Call them up and rush them.

OOOh, my car got the "Delivered From" status at Halifax today (based on WWL's tracking). I hope that means WWL delivered from Halifax to CN??

I got the "Discharged" Status. Which happened on the 18th. Wonder what the difference is between Delivered and Discharged ?

I have no clue what the differences are between liner release, discharged, and delivered from... and I could not find anywhere that provides the explanation. So, here are my guess

liner release - The ship arrived and the car is unloaded off the boat
discharged - It has gone through customs and is ... well discharged from the docks
Delivered From - Its when the car leaves WWL's hands and is in the next chain in the logistics of shipping to the dealer (thus they call it supply chain.. lol).

Don't quote me on these, but if someone can confirm or correct me, that be much appreciated.

Liner release - Ocean carrier has released the cargo. This could mean many things but usually it means they will not hold the cargo because they received payment for their service

Discharged - Discharged from vessel

Delivered From - Ocean carrier has done their part and delivered the cargo to the holding area

The car just popped up on the lhf.com website. Looks like it is getting trucked to Toronto. It has an ETA of Sept 4th. Hoped doesn't take 2 weeks to get here. Anyone know how long it takes by truck from Halifax to Toronto ?
