Interesting - I called this 800 number and it's the BMW NA number. For my VIN it said the car was "in transit, call your dealer". Interesting that BMW NA knows about the car but "in transit" can mean anything (i.e. it's left the factory and is somewhere we don't know ) And if that's the case, it's the same status as I got when calling BMW CA.

What's more helpful is status provided by E92LNGCGY. I know my car is somewhere west of Edmonton on its way to Vancouver.

I'll ask my dealer Monday. He's been on vacation. From other threads after it leaves VPC in they will say it's "In Transit".
Yes, you're lucky yours went rail and E92LNGCGY can track it for you. My past E46 BMW and Audi came from Halifax by truck.

Ahh cool. Thanks for the update. I guess I am going by rail then.
I was on the independence II so it arrived Aug 11th.
I didn't ask the dealer for any priority loading. I didn't even know you could ask for that.

!! your car arrived with Indpendance II on Aug 11 and it is already all the way in Edmonton!!?? Did it board the CN Rail the same day it got dropped off the ship?

nope - my car arrived on the Independence II on JULY 8th, and sat in Halifax for over 4 weeks. It just got on a train a week ago yesterday (Friday). Yes, the boat actually dropped off my car, went on to other ports in North America, went back to Europe, picked your car and returned to North America all while my car sat in Halifax.

So - you're fortunate - only a 1 week wait to get on a train. Up till recently the average wait was 2-3 weeks and then me who took 4+ weeks because of customs or so I was told.

Wow! I don't think anyone is that happy with the speed of the process, but you would seem to have a legitimate gripe. 4 weeks because of Customs sounds like bs to me.

I am so excited! When it arrives in Vancouver should I show up on the day of/speak to my dealership to see it in person as it arrives? Or should I let them do their redelivery inspection and all that first? I want to take off the plastic with my own hands!

Car's now at Boston Bar and on the home stretch to Vancouver (thank you E92LNGCGY). Then over to Victoria, dealer PDI and into my hot little hands. Hopefully within a week.

So that, AFAIK makes 4 new M's in Victoria: 2xSO; 1xBLK; 1xAY (mine).

I find it so crazy that people are still waiting for their m3 & m4's in Calgary. I've had my M4 for weeks now and my buddy has his too. Put my money down last fall and loving the car compared to my e92 M3. Something weird is going on with these other cars getting shipped
