Karting in Tri State

Any suggestions for some fast karting places near Manhattan that have arrive & drive?

Have heard of Pole Position and GPNY. Are there any out there that have faster karts than these two?

GPNY is pretty awesome. We rented out the entire track once, and had a two hour race. I've never tried the electric karts at PP, but I heard they aren't as fun. It is much closer to the city, though.

NJMP is amazing. If you can try and get a group together and do a gran prix. It's roughly $100/ person but you get a solid 45 min. or so of racing. it's gas outdoor gas karts that top out around 30-40mph.

PP in JC is probably the best, and closest to Manhattan. Ideal in winter/summer as it is a heated and air conditioned indoor facility.
Carts will hit 45mph on the back straight, and your upper body will get a workout during one session. You have to be in good physical shape to do more than 3-4 sessions/day.

NJMP track is great too, but is outdoors (weather dependent), and ~2.5 hour drive form 'da 'titty, without traffic.

Thanks guys - ended up at pole position and had a good time. Only frustrating because they load the tracks w/ up to 10 people, which makes it hard if you have some laggards. I was positively surprised by the electric karts. Highly recommended if you go w/ a good group on an off day

We can try and get a group going in the spring. I've done it the last 2 years usually together with clay shooting.
