You should consider 19" wheels in that case IMO.

I'm not 100% but I think a 10mm or less spacer front works and 7mm rear. This is only based on those that have worked on the 19's same offset. You will have to browse the forum I don't think anybody has done it yet with the ZCP wheels. The tires are right on the money though

275 with 20s some times rub, if your car is lowered. So, I am sure... 295 on 20s will rub for sure. Not only it is wider, it is also higher...

275 Front Tire Feel
There a lot of people on here that are much smarter than me (CanAutM3 and Mercedesc63) but I have moved my OEM rears (275\35\19) to the front and went to 295\35\19 on the rear. (The tire place didn't think they would fit up front)...they did just fine.
The rear traction has definitely improved but the tramlining and hydroplaning with the front increase was very noticeable. I drove over 3000km from Vancouver to San Francisco along the coast line and back on the I-5. The weather during the journey I ran into thunder storms with serious sheeting of water and although I wasn't worried for my life it was annoying. The tramlining along I-5 was equally annoying at high speed which I hadn't experienced to the same level with the 255's. My next experiment will be 265's with 305's. I just love the traction difference with the 295's on the rear. Side note: The California Coast and no traffic in April was a blast!!!! Cheers! |

Anyone running 275/30/20 front and 295/30/20 rears? Can't stand the look of the overly stretched front tires and I'm tired of the sidewall rolling over under heavy load. The stretched sidewall just can't support any kind of heavy load whatsoever. The OEM front tire width chosen by BMW for ZCP's is just ridiculous.

Mich PSS in 275/30/20 shows rim width range at 9-10 inches. Should work fine in theory. Just want to know there will be no rubbing issues. I've also been told that the star spec BMW PSS is 0.5 inches narrower than a non star spec variant. I can't seem to verify that anywhere via Michelin or BMW information but it wouldn't surprise me. Just another curve ball in the equation. A non star spec PSS may not be as severely stretched as a star spec. I'm sure some people have installed non star specs but I haven't had time to look to see if it's a noticeable difference. 265 tire on this car is an f'n joke. The sidewall just rolls right over and if you push it hard or track it you'll actually wear out the sidewall. Probably why they went with a 19" front wheel on the GTS. Still inexcusable for a car of this caliber with a "competition package". I've run PSS's on several other cars and they always held up well even when pushing them at the track. I can't get through one track day without chewing up/chunking/blistering/excessive sidewall wear on the left front tire. I use to get 3-5 days out of a set on a 997.2 C4S with numerous suspension mods or even my stock e92 ZCP.

Still think if you can verify no rubbing a 275/30/20 would be better than a 255/35/20. Certainly from a performance standpoint anyways. And if you're running cup tires ride quality should be an issue you're concerned with. 295/30/20 rears are almost equal in change with a 275 front, so no dsc issues and speedo will be just a fraction lower but still above actual road speed.
